I woke up expecting Nitro to be next to me. She wasn't, to my disappointment. I got out of bed and got ready. She was probably still with Pidge. Did she even know that Pidge was a girl? I stopped, thinking in depth about this. Was Nitro only hanging out with Pidge because she liked her? She probably thought Pidge was a boy... Oh, I need to tell her. Then maybe she'll come back to my room. Not that I care, of course.

I opened Pidge's door to see them both laying on the bed, chattering.

"Aye, there he is!"
Pidge exclaimed.

I ignored her, and grabbed Nitro's wrist. Pulling her towards the door.

"What's wrong?"
She asked.

"Come with me."
She followed, leaving Pidge alone.

I pressed her against the wall in the hallway and gave a serious face.
"You know Pidge is a girl, right?"

"Yeah? Does it matter?"

Oh. She already knew.

"I just wanted to ask. You're right, it doesn't matter. How did you sleep?"
I tried to cover up.

"Actually," she ruffled my hair, "we didn't sleep at all."

"Nitro, Allura's going to kill you!"
I hissed, so that no one else could hear my frustration but her.

"Relax, Space Boy."
She waved me off, but siding next to me as we walked to the kitchen.

"I could still beat Allura, even without any sleep." She scoffed.
