NITRO - ABDUCTION

"This is Emperor Lotor."

Everyone fell quiet.

I glanced at Keith, who had a mix of pure determination and silent fear across his features.

"Where is Zarkon?"
Allura demanded.

He chuckled, a low laugh.
"My father is dead. The Galaxy is under my control now."

"What do you want?"
Shiro's commanding voice sent shivers down my spine.

"Your warrior."

Pidge stepped in front of Shiro.
"You can't have him!"

"I was not referring to your incompetent leader."
His gaze settled on me.

Keith put an arm in front of me.
"No."

His voice was hard, and furious.

"What do you want with me?"

"I want you to turn yourself in."
He said simply.

"Nitro-"
Keith warned.

"What do you think I am, stupid? I'm not just going to turn myself in."
I laughed mockingly.

"Then, I'm afraid, you'll have to deal with the consequences."

The castle shook, and several soldiers dropped down.

The Paladins summoned their bayards, and I summoned light.

Lotor's call had been a distraction.

I ran out of the ship, using pure light to hold them off as the Paladins scrambled for their suits to follow me into space. Thanks to my solar powers, I didn't need oxygen to breathe in space.

I felt several sudden jabs to the back, and I froze in place. My muscles wouldn't move. A pang of fear shot through me. A soldier picked me up, and was lifted back up into the attacking ship.

I could only watch as the others retreated, the Paladins still on the ship. Allura and Coran had gotten the defenses up too late. The Galra couldn't get into the barrier anymore, but neither could I.

Keith's scared purple eyes looked up at me from below.

"I'm sorry..."
He whispered, but I could only see his lips moving.
