"Is Keith okay?"
Shiro asked Nitro, as she entered the small house we were talking to the alien creatures in.

"Better off now."
She grumbled, and my eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

"Whoa, did he die...?!"
Lance stood up suddenly.

"No, but he could have."

I took her wrist, and dragged her outside. She followed me into an extra housing base, without any questions. I sat her down on an old looking cushion, and took a seat.

"Look, I'm really not in the mood for a lecture..."

"What happened? Are you okay?"

"He took a shot for me, Pidge."

"Oh my quiznack..."
I covered my mouth with my hands.

"He told me that he liked me-"
She continued, but I interrupted.

"Then why do you look so sad?"

"Because I rejected him."
She looked away.

"WHAT?!"

"If he took one shot for me this time, what do you think would happen if I got captured? He'd gladly turn over the Red Lion, and then the universe is screwed! Or what if... what if he gets hurt because of me? It wouldn't work out anyways... it's better this way."

"True. I can see where you're coming from. But, how did he tell you?"

"He kissed me, Pidge."

"HE WHAT?!"

"On the mouth."
She added, a small smile forming.

"ON THE MOUTH?!"
I yelled, laughing now.

"Yeah. Do you think we'll still be close? It might be awkward..."

"Give him some time, he'll probably be back to his usual sarcastic self."

"I hope so..."
She trailed off sadly.
