I ran to Nitro, as fast as I could. When she turned around, I grabbed her hand. She laughed, following me.
"What are you doing, Space Boy?"
"You don't have a ship, right? So you're coming with me, in Red Lion."
I explained, out of breath.
"Seriously? I thought Allura didn't want me to fight-"
"She might not, but I want you to."
"And why is that?"
She tilted her head to one side, raising an eyebrow. Testing me.
"Who else is going to have my back?"
"You're right."
Nitro grinned at me, and I tried not to blush too much.
"And besides, what's the worst that could happen on your first mission?"
I pulled her into my lap, and the Lions raced toward the distress signal.
