"Keith..."
My eyes opened in horror as his limp body covered mine. My voice cracked, and my eyes watered. I crawled out from under him, and flipped him over. A spot of blood covered his back, and his eyes glazed over. A pang of guilt ran through me, and I touched his cheek.
"It should have been me."
"No, don't say that Nitro."
He whispered.
"It's my fault..."
"No it's not."
The soldier ran back, and I slashed out at him with my whip, tying him up and dragging him to the ground. I shot several times, and looked up.
The soldiers were retreating, the Lions were safe. I had the information I needed, but Keith... he wasn't okay. I picked him up, and he wrapped his legs around my waist. I put my hands on his back, his face in the crook of my neck. I dropped the Galra gun, running to the Red Lion.
