Space Girl (Keith X Reader)

NITRO - CONTROL

I opened my eyes, and was thrown out of the cryopod. Before I could hit the floor, a strong pair of arms caught me mid fall. I looked up.

"Keith..."

He smiled down at me.
"Don't worry, I've got you now."

"What happened? Where is she?"

"We don't know yet. But I think it would be best for you to sleep for when you see her again."

"She's still out there. She's dangerous. I can't just-"

"Nitro, you blew up an entire planet. You need to rest."
He carried me to my room.

"I guess you're right."
I said quietly, as he laid me down and pulled the blanket over me.

"You're powerful, Nitro."

"Did I hurt anybody?"
She burst out, ignoring my compliment.

He was kind of surprised that I'd asked. I could see why. Usually he just saw me destroying stuff.

"No, although the ship needs to be repaired. I'm sure it's nothing serious. Coran can fix it up."

I fell silent.

"What are you thinking about?"
He asked, cautious.

"Keith?"
I looked at him, my eyes guilty.

"Yes?"

"I feel horrible. For destroying that planet... and the ship..."

"You didn't mean to. I know you didn't. You had no control over what she did to you, Nitro. That wasn't your fault, I know it wasn't."

"You're wrong."
I said suddenly.

"What do you mean?"

She looked me dead in the eyes.

"I was in control the entire time."
