I'm going to start with POV and titles as ch. titles for confusion purposes.

'(L/n)?' I thought. 'Her name is Nitro.'

'It doesn't matter. She's hurt...'

I pulled her closer into my chest, and she said nothing as we flew in silence. The helmet communicators were on, but no one was talking.

I sucked in a sharp breath.
"You know what? We'll meet you guys later. We need to be alone."

Shiro's voice cut in quietly, as if he were thinking about something.
"Yeah, sure. We'll see you back at the castle later. Just be careful."

I nodded, and turned Red around the other way, heading toward a nearby planet.

"How are you feeling?"
I tried, and she barely smiled.

"It's a little bit better."

It grew silent, I didn't know what to say to get her to open up.

Nitro lifted her head for a second.
"Why did you..."

"Because we need to talk."

"You already know."
She gritted her teeth.

"No, I don't. And the only way I can understand is if you open up and-"

"Trust you?"
She offered, dejectedly.

"Do you trust me?"
I raised an eyebrow.

"I still wouldn't have told you."

"Why not?"
I grabbed her hand, and she let her face fall in the crook of my neck.

Nitro sighed.
"Because it would have changed the way you saw me..."

"I still think the same about you."

"Yeah? And what's that?"
She laughed sourly.

'Tell her now.'
Red roared.

"No!"
I burst out, blushing.

Nitro pulled away from me.
"I knew it."

"No, I mean, I was talking to Red."

"What'd he say?"

"He... uh... he said I should tell you that he thinks you're beautiful."
I tried to cover up, and she cracked a faint smile. I made her happy...

"Thanks, Red."

"Well, it wasn't just Red..."

She raised her eyebrow.
"Mm?"

"I also think you're... uh... yeah."
I turned pink, and Red snickered.

"Oh. Well, thanks."

"Y-yeah."
I landed Red, and carried her out.

"You don't have to carry me, Keith."

"You can't walk."
I pointed out.

"I'm heavy."
She protested.

"So? I'm strong."
I laughed, and she snorted.

"Here. This is a good spot."
I announced, setting her down on the soft hill. Well, it was kind of a hill. It rippled, the the soft ocean of fur making small rolling waves.

"What are we doing here?"

"Just... something I saw. It helps."

"Alright."

She crossed her legs, and I did too.
"Put your hands like this."

I took her hands in mine, placing one gently over the other and pressing the pads of her thumbs together to make a water drop shape.
