The day had been a long one and Rafael was happy to get out of his office. All he wanted to do was get home to his wife and children. It took ten minutes longer than it usually did but that wasn't that unusual for New York. He found the apartment quiet and when he looked around, he saw his wife and son asleep on the couch. He smiled as he looked at them sleeping peacefully. He heard crying coming from his daughter's crib and he went over to her. She smiled when she saw her daddy. He lifted her out of her crib and into his arms. They walked back to the living room where Jayde had woken up.
"Hola", she said yawning. "RJ wasn't feeling good so we took a nap".
"Sleeping with another guy? I don't know about that, cariño".
She smiled and rolled her eyes. "Yeah, that's exactly what I was doing".
Lucia looked at her mother and smiled.
They walked to the couch where RJ was waking up. He groaned and stretched. "Daddy".
Rafael looked at his son. "You feeling better, hijo?"
He nodded. "My head was hurting. Now it's not".
"That's good. I was thinking of going out for pizza".
RJ's face lit up and nodded. Both Jayde and Rafael laughed. RJ looked at his sister. "Do you want pizza?"
Rafael spoke in a high pitched voice. "I love pizza!"
The walk to the pizza place was only a few minutes and as they walked, they talked about their day. "Hey, be nice to Sonny. He looks up to you", Jayde told her husband.
He smiled. "I know, cariño".
When they got to the restaurant, they were greeted by a waiter who seated them immediately. It wasn't busy as it was Tuesday evening. The waiter brought them to a table and took their drink orders. After the waiter left, Jayde's phone went off. She looked at the caller ID. "It might be one of my kids". She got up and went outside.
"Where mommy going?"
"She just went to use the phone. She'll be right back".
"Hey, don't worry about it. Keep me updated". Jayde hung up and went back inside to her husband and children. Rafael saw her come back in and he looked at her with concern. "Is everything ok?"
"One of my kids just went into labor. They're at the hospital so they'll keep me updated. I might have to leave if..."
"If you have to leave, it's fine. We got things, right?"RJ nodded. "Which kid is this?"
"The 12 year old. She found out that she was pregnant right before I had Lucia".
Rafael frowned as he remembered how upset Jayde had been about the case.
The waiter came and brought their drinks and asked them if they were ready to order. They both asked for a few more minutes as they hadn't even looked at the menu. "Of course. I'll give you a few minutes".
"I want pepperoni pizza, daddy", RJ told him. Rafael helped him look at the menu. Jayde looked and saw that they had a pizza with steak. Her face lit up excited. "I know what I want". She closed her menu. Lucia babbled and tried grabbing the menu. Jayde laughed. "I think someone's hungry".
The waiter came back and took their pizza orders. Jayde's phone went off again and she looked at her husband. He smiled and nodded. "I'll be right back".
"Go do what you have to".
She walked outside and the social worker on the other end told her that the girl was having complications with the labor and she was scared. Could she please come? "I'll be right there. I just have to tell my husband".
She came back in and saw Rafael's concerned face. "Is everything ok?"
"She's having complications with her labor. She's scared and is asking for me. I'm sorry".
Rafael smiled and kissed her cheek. "Amor, don't worry about it. Good luck".
At the hospital, she was greeted by the social worker. "I'm sorry to pull you away from your family, she's been insisting that you're here".
"Don't worry about it". They went to the room and she saw a frightened girl. "Hey, I'm here. What's going on?"
"My baby doesn't want to come out. I'm scared".
Jayde went over to her and took her hand. "It'll be ok. What's going on with your baby?"
The social worker explained that the baby was breech and they wanted to do a c-section but they wanted to wait for her opinion.
"Will it hurt?"
Jayde shook her head. "It won't. I've had two c-sections. They numb everything from your waist down so you can't feel anything".
She nodded. "I'll do it". The social worker nodded and went to go get the doctor.
As the girl was wheeled to surgery, the social worker looked at her. "Do you usually tell your kids to get a c-section?"
"No but I was thinking about her and the baby's safety". The social worker nodded again. The surgery took a 10 minutes and when it was over, the doctor came out and told them the surgery had been successful. Both mother and baby were resting but he would tell them when it was ok to visit.
Jayde took the time to text her husband. The baby has been delivered successfully. She's resting so we're waiting for the ok to visit. I love you. – Jayde
Good news! We ran into Carisi, Rollins and Jesse. They might come over after pizza. I saved you some. I love you. – Rafael

Finally they got the ok to visit. They walked to the room and saw a relaxed girl. "Congratulations on your new baby!"
She smiled. "Thank you! You were right. It wasn't scary".
Jayde smiled. "Well it is scary at first but I knew you could do it. What's her name?"
"Jayde Elizabeth".
Her jaw dropped and her hand went to her heart. "You named her after me?"
"Is that ok?"
"I'm honored. Thank you!"
Baby Jayde had dark brown skin with dark brown hair and dark brown eyes. She was born healthy. Jayde found out that she would be living at a home for single teenage mothers and she would be getting support with school. The staff at the home had welcomed her with open arms and everything was set up for her baby. "I'm so proud of you. You know that right?"
She nodded. "Thank you".
As Jayde walked in the door, she heard laughing and as she walked to the living room, she saw Sonny, Amanda, Rafael and the kids. "Hey, you guys!"
Sonny got up and gave her a hug. "How you've been Jayde?"
"How'd it go at the hospital", Rafael asked.
"Baby and mother are doing awesome! She decided to name her baby girl Jayde Elizabeth".
Amanda's jaw dropped. "After you? Wow".
"For real. I told her that I'm honored". She went to the refrigerator and got the pizza Rafael had saved for her. She started eating it as she brought it over.
