My parents came home at 1 last night. Not a surprise. I left a note on the kitchen counter that I planned for them to meet Kimberley and Cheryl for coffee. They didn't bother to wake me up and ask me anything about the coffee date, so I'm guessing they didn't care.

My alarm clock woke me up at 6:30. It's too early to be awake right now. I groaned getting out of my cold and lonely bed and to the wardrobe. I threw on black high waisted jeans and a white vest top. I found my thin denim jacket and some white converse. I walked into the bathroom putting on natural makeup with a nude lipstick. I had my long hair in French braided pigtails last night so it was naturally wavy already. I went out my bedroom seeing my parents waiting in the car for me.

"Glad you could join us." Usually this would be a sarcastic comment. But whenever my parents say this it's genuine.

"Glad you could come." I smiled at my Mum. She had on a tight hourglass dress. She's so beautiful but Dad never notices.

"Where are we meeting this 'Kimberley and Cheryl'?" My Dad looked at me in the rear view mirror, already backing out of the driveway.

"The diner a couple blocks away." I had so many nerves in my voice, but they didn't notice.  I didn't know how this was going tot go down, I'm scared.

We drove in complete silence.  I wanted to say something like 'I love you guys' but I couldn't say it if I didn't mean it completely.  We arrived at the diner, we all got out of the car.  Mum and Dad walked ahead of me going into the diner.

"Where are they?" My Mum looked down to me, looking like she didn't really care to be here.

"Over there." I scanned the room and caught Kimberley walking around the diner with a tray.  She went back to the kitchen not noticing we had walked in.

"I'll be back in a second." I rushed back to the kitchen before Mum could tell me that I'm not supposed to be back there.  Cheryl is nowhere in sight, I hope she didn't decide not to come.  I'd be even more terrified if she wasn't here.

I walked into the back, some of the workers smiling at me.  They didn't mind me being back here, I talked to some of them the day I met Cheryl.  They're all such nice people.

I saw Kimberley go to the little office in the back.  I followed her into the office and ticked her from behind.  She let out a little squeal, turning around with a shocked face.

"You little...you scared me to death!" I laughed as she pulled me in for a hug.  She held me tight for a few more seconds than a normal hug.

"Hey...what about me?" Kimberley broke our hug as I turned around to a pouting Cheryl.  She put her arms out to welcome me into a tight cuddle.

I didn't say anything I just fell into her arms, feeling home.

"My parents are out at a table, I don't even know where to start." The more time that passes the more anxiety I get.

"Just follow us, okay?  Kimba, will you be joining us now?" We turned to look at Kimberley.

"Yeah, I just have-" I was frowning at Kimberley, I needed both of them there.

"Yeah, right behind you." We walked out of the diner, seeing my parents straight away.  Here we go.
