Cheryl's POV
As we walked up the stepping-stones of me childhood home, Mam flew the front door open. We had just parked in the driveway after our long journey from Kimberley's family's house. It's just gone ten in the morning so we've got all day and night to spend with me loved ones.
"Camille!" Natalie swung the door open and rushed towards me daughter. I got a hug off of me brothers and sister, then held me arms wide open for Mam. I always miss them all more than I ever imagined I would.
Moving to London was hard for us and for Kimberley as well. We both left behind worlds that contained our family, childhood, old friends and our old stomping grounds. I never thought I'd get out of Newcastle, I always imagined that I'd be doomed and trapped here for forever.
"Hiya, pet." Mam hugged me tightly and kissed me cheek. Camille came over to the two of us and joined in, causing us to giggle. Me Mam put her arms around Camille's waist and kissed her temple.
"At least you're not crying this time." Mam laughed and held Camille's chin. Garry came up behind Camille and scrunched up her hair, just like he used to do to us, except Millie didn't scream her head off in annoyance.
"Hi, Garry." Camille hugged him and walked into the house with their arms around each other.
"Cam, we're sharing a room!" Natalie exclaimed and hugged Camille again. They both talked for ages and went off to their joint bedroom while the rest of us stayed in the front room.
"So..." Andrew walked around and sat down next to us "Engaged?" He asked with a smug smile and looked at Kimberley.
"Yes, now don't be takin' the piss." I heard me own voice changing as I heard constant sounds of the Geordie language. Andrew laughed and said his congratulations to Kimba and I, giving us both a hug.
"I can't believe it! Engaged! There's gonna be a huge wedding!" Gillian exclaimed and clapped her hands together.
"Have you thought about the wedding?" Mam asked, causing Kimba and I to giggle.
"We've only been engaged for two days!" I defended the both of us and laughed along with the rest of me family.
"But you must have had conversations about you guys' dream wedding," Garry mentioned and I looked over to him, then nodded.
"Well, sorta," Kimberley answered and met me eyes. I smiled, knowing exactly what she's thinking about "We do know that we want Millz to play the piano when we walk down the aisle." She added and I agreed, remembering the little discussion we talked about.
"You don't want her next to one of you?" Mam asked and we both shook our heads.
"She'll stand beside us after we walk but hearing her music and knowing how much the music and the wedding means to her, it will be more special than watching her walk," I explained, imagining the moment that Camille will play the music as Kimberley walks down the aisle while I wait for her to come face-to-face with us.
"Is she a bridesmaid?" Gillian asked and I looked back at the stairs before answering her question.
"Not sure yet. And even if she is, how will we choose which one of us gets her?" I responded and Mam nodded her head as if she was standing in me own shoes.
"But don't tell her any of this, we're going to surprise her with it." I quietly said and put a finger to my lips. Everyone agreed and moved on in conversation as I admired all the Christmas decorations.
