Camille's POV

"Text us when you're on your way home." Mam forced me to look into her eyes and understand what she's saying. I nodded along to all of her nagging, knowing that it's just her protectiveness getting in the way.

"I love you." Mam added at the end and pulled my cheeks in for a kiss. I leaned forward from the backseat of our family car and gave Mam a few kisses. I moved towards the driver's seat and kissed Mum's cheek, knowing that she's not as clingy as Mam is when it comes to Dad.

"I love you more." I smiled and opened the car door, feeling the winter air swoop in to the heated atmosphere. I grabbed my stuff and waved to Mam and Mum before closing the door. When I looked back to the car, I waved to Mam and Mum and caught their air kisses they blew to me.

"Millzy!" I heard someone exclaim behind me and turned to find Nicole waiting at the top of the porch. I ran to her and gave her the biggest cuddle. I haven't seen her in so long that the last time we hung out, we went to get ice cream - oh, how the seasons go by.

"I've missed you!" She giggled as I refused to let go of her waist. Nicole walked the two of us inside and put her warm hands to my freezing cheeks. She took my coat off for me and hung it on the rack.

"Your Dad's right through there." She pointed to the front room entrance, which I escaped to quickly. I walked into the large, high-ceilinged living room and saw Dad fluffing up a Christmas pillow on the sofa.

I peered around the room and took in the decked-out Christmas decor. The humongous tree towered way over my height, going all the way up to the second floor balcony railing. Fairy lights were wrapped all down the staircase railing with little knick-knacks sitting upon the end of each step. The baubles hanging on the authentic tree shined reflections onto the wall that bounced off the fairy lights. There's a reindeer blanket draped along the back of the sofa, little trinket Santas all over the place, and even little Ginger has a red bow on his collar.

"Cleaning up before I get here?" I asked, which seemed to startle Dad at first.

"Hey, kiddo!" Dad beamed and held his arms wide open. I jumped into them and felt my feet lift off the ground for a few seconds. Dad put me back down and smiled widely at me.

"I haven't seen you in a while." Dad frowned and I matched his pout.

"Hence why you blew my phone up with text messages all the time." I giggled, which made Dad laugh as well. He went to sit on the sofa and patted the spot next to him. As I sat down with him, Nicole entered the room and sat with us.

"With my girls on Christmas." Dad cheered and put his arms around the two of us. Nicole laid her head on Dad's shoulder, causing me to mirror the action on his shoulder closest to me.

"Do you want to open your presents?" Nicole asked and peered over to me.  I nodded excitedly and watched Nicole stand up to retrieve the presents that are mine from under the tree.

"This one first." Nicole smiled widely and sat the present on my lap.  It's a rectangular, long box and was ready for me to tear it open.  I peeled the wrapping away and saw the brand on the box - Coco Chanel.  I let my jaw hang down in shock and slid the cover off the main box.  I saw five perfumes neatly lined up in the packaging, emitting scents already.

"Woah, thank you so much!" I beamed and slid the cover back on to protect the glass bottles.  I hugged Dad and Nicole, making them giggle and give me kisses.

"Alright, which one next babe?" Nicole asked Dad and saw him point to another box.  I unwrapped the paper and saw a Vans box.  I had told Dad about a specific pair that I found online once and I hoped that it was the pair inside the box.  I lifted the lid and saw the pair of Vans I've been dying for - the black-and-white checkered pair with roses sewed in.
