(A/N: This is my SONG right now, so I definitely recommend.)
                              Author's POV
So many things. I've heard so many things about Nicole, but not from James - from Mam.  Something about Nicole being a bit crazy and all-over-the-place.  Mam told me that she's never been a huge fan of her character and that, in the papers, Nicole is one of her biggest enemies.  Everyone writes stories about even the littlest things that could be digs toward one another.
"Cam, you okay?" James asked and I straightened up, nodding my head.
"Yeah, good." I smacked a smile on my face, trying not to think too much about what Mam said.
"So, Camille, you go to a music school is what I've heard." Nicole mentioned and I nodded.  The least I can do is give her a fair chance.  She doesn't seem to be like what Mam described.
"Yeah, it's better than actual school." I said, getting Nicole to giggle a bit.  Now that I think about it, she has a really warm personality.
"What classes are you taking?" She asked, trying to engage in a conversation with me.  I liked the effort she was giving to get to know me.
"Lyrics, orchestra, music history, and vocals." I listed all my classes this semester.
"You're learning how to write songs?" She asked, seeming intrigued in it.
"Yeah, it's lots of fun!" I said, liking how someone finally sees how cool it is that I have a class where I just learn to write songs.
"Could I see some of the songs you've written?" She asked and I hesitated at first, but quickly let it go.  I need to open up and who better to do that with than my father's girlfriend.
"I could play you some next time." I told her and that seemed to brighten her smile.  Nicole seems great so far, there's nothing I don't like about her.  I especially love how she listens to every word I say, it reminds me of Mam.
"Next time?" Nicole asked and seemed to smile widely at the thought of seeing me again.
"Yeah, definitely." I nodded my head and smiled at James.  He seems to be happy about Nicole and I getting along.
"So, any boys at school, Camille?" Nicole asked and I started to blush.  Even though people know about Wren and I, I've never properly talked about him to someone other than Beau or Savvy.
"A boyfriend!" James poked fun at me as he playfully slapped my arm.  I smiled at him, feeling my cheeks go hot and red.
"Ohh, what's his name?!" Nicole excitedly asked, wanting to be a part of the gossip.
"His name is Wren, I met him at school." I thought about Wren and how much I adore him.
"How long have you guys been dating?" Nicole asked.
"It's been three months on the twenty-fourth of November." I said, calculating it in my head.  Wren and I haven't yet celebrated an anniversary, but maybe three months will be something interesting.  I never actually realized how long it's been, time with Wren just flies by.
"Aww!" Nicole smiled and put her hand on mine.  I smiled at the gesture and realized that Nicole hadn't let go of my hand, she was holding onto it.
I could tell that Nicole isn't one to shy away from someone. She's bringing out the real me, making me forget about the shy person I usually am around new people. It's the aura she has that captured me in a way no one has before.
"Hi, my names Maya, how can I serve you guys?" The waitress asked and James and Nicole looked at me to order first.
After all three of us ordered, there was a bit of silence before James brought up a conversation starter.
