December 26th - the day everyone mourns the leaving of Christmas Day. It's a sad time because the aftermath of cleaning up but also a happy time because of all the presents you get to mess with. Last night, I played around in the studio room until three this morning. It was fun learning all the instruments and discovering the new systems.
I arose this morning with a loud yawn and cracking bones as I stretched my body. I went to my ensuite and looked in the mirror, finding my bed-head hair and natural skin. I washed the sleep away and put on some moisturizer, feeling fully awake now. I went to my wardrobe and put on a pair black of Champion sweatpants and a matching white jumper. I left my hair down and went out to my room, grabbing my phone and rushing downstairs.

"Good Morning, sweetheart." I heard Mum say as I entered the kitchen. I caught a magnificent whiff of the blueberry pancakes, bacon and fruit being made by Mum. I grinned with a bright beam and rushed over to Mum, giving her a hug and a few kisses.
"Is it almost ready?" I asked her and she nodded, telling me to go set the table so we can go ahead and eat. I went to the dining room and put the placemats, silverware, and glasses out. I went back to the kitchen and grabbed the pitcher of orange juice, putting it down on the table.
"Where's Mam?" I went back to the kitchen and noticed that Mam still isn't around.
"She's snoozing away upstairs." Mum informed me and I furrowed my brows. Mum said that the food is all done and I need to go wake up Mam before it gets cold. I sprinted upstairs and went to my mothers' bedroom, seeing Mam adorably sleeping the morning away.
"Mammy," I giggled and sat next to her sleeping body "Mammy, it's time to wake up." I lightly shook Mam's shoulder and saw her eyes begin to flutter open. I smiled at her as she subconsciously stretched her arms and yawned.
"What's up, baby?" She asked, making me realize that she thinks it's late night or early morning. I told her that it's fifteen 'til ten and Mum has finished breakfast.
"Okay, I'll be down in a minute." She yawned once more and stroked my cheek before sitting up. I smiled and gave her a hug, letting her kiss my cheek a few times. We stood up together and I went downstairs, letting her wash up in the ensuite.
I made my way back downstairs and sat down at the dining room table. Mum brought in the dishes of food and placed empty plates at all of our places. She went back to the kitchen and I heard Mam come down the steps and greet Mum in the kitchen. When she came into the dining room, she put her arms around my shoulders and whispered that she loves me into my ear.
"I've missed your home cooking." Mam seemed to sink into a hole of joy as she tasted Mum's pancakes. I agreed with her, getting thanks from Mum.
"Is it okay if I go to Dad's tomorrow?" I asked Mam and she seemed to drop her fork out of annoyance.
