Camille's POV
"Okay, so we're going to keep it pretty simple. The background will be a subtle yellow colour, seeing that it's you two's favorite. Then we will have two chairs, but you won't be able to see them on camera. We won't show from mid-stomach down on screen." The director spoke as everyone rushed around, following his orders. He looked at me every now and then, trying to come up with good lighting for me and Mam's skin tone combined. I have a darker skin tone, kind of like I'm lightly tanned all year.
"Cheryl, can we get her to hair and makeup?" Someone called and I heard Mam agree. Some lady pulled my arm away from Mam's side and sat me in front of a vanity. The vanity's mirror is lined with big light bulbs that brightly illuminate my face.
"Hannah, don't put too much makeup on me baby. She's already beautiful without it." Mam said to the girl who is preparing to do my makeup. I looked at Mam through my mirror and watched her close her eyes for Ms. Karin to do her mascara. Ms. Wendy, Mam's hair stylist, was braiding away at Mam's naturally wavy hair. Lastly, of course, Ms. Anna finished putting together her outfit.
I've met Ms. Wendy, Karin, and Anna before, they came in the house one day with Mam. We all had tea in the back garden and talked about Mam's photo shoots. They're lovely people and really fun to be around.
"So, are you okay with a light gold eyeshadow?" Ms. Hannah asked me, showing me the eye shadow she plans on using. I just nodded and watched her line all her products up.
"How come you only asked me my opinion on the eye shadow?" I furrowed my eyebrows watching her pick her own opinion for the other products. She had picked out a light pink blush and a golden highlight. She also lined up a nude lipstick, which I hope she doesn't go extreme on.
"Well, that's how I work. I ask you if you like the eyeshadow and I base everything else off of that." She explained to me, making me nod my head.
"That's cool." I said, finding her job interesting. She gets paid a ton of money, just for applying makeup I could easily do, myself.
"Have you ever worked on any huge celebrities?" I curiously asked, wanting to know more about her job.
"Yeah, I've worked with Heidi Klum." She said, seeming proud of her previous clients.
"That really tall, blonde, German model?" I asked, making her giggle. She smiled and nodded her head.
I felt someone's eyes on me as I turned my gaze back into the mirror. I looked at Mam through my mirror and saw her looking through her mirror at me. It's all confusing, but that's why we burst out laughing. I turned back to the mirror as a hair stylist started lightly curling my hair, like I usually do.
"Stay still, honey." Ms. Hannah told me off for giggling while she put my makeup on. I talked to her some more and got to know her while she applied the small amount of highlight. She told me all about how she travels to new countries, just so she can do famous people's makeup.
"Bella, can you get her dress ready? Cheryl chose her white dress, so we're going to match with her." Ms. Hannah called over the outfit stylist and she rushed her feet over to the clothes rack. She rolled it over to me and showed me two different dresses.
"That one." I pointed to a white dress that has a tight upper-half and a flowing lower-half. It has a strip of see-through material on the upper-chest and bottom of the skirt.
"Okay, you can change in those rooms over there and don't smudge your makeup." Hannah told me, pointing to a set of changing rooms.
