Author's POV

Maybe it was the spark of realization. Or maybe it was the fresh breath of air. It could have maybe been the long silence of peace. Whatever it was, it changed Camille. It changed her thought process, her emotions, her courage, her passion to become better. It changed Camille as a whole.

The teen never thought that it would be so easy to relax. And all it took for her to realize this was looking out the window at exactly 6:31 PM that one Monday evening.

Camille found herself walking downstairs and meeting her Mum in the front room. She plopped down next to her mother on the sofa and Kimberley couldn't help but adore her daughter's smile.

"I'm starting over," Camille said something for the first time this morning.

"I'm sorry?" Kimberley looked at Camille, not understanding what's gotten into her. The teen seems all jumpy and excited about something.

"I'm starting fresh. I want to clear my head and fix everything that's causing this dumb depression." Camille bluntly said, surprising Kimberley.

"Really?" Kimberley asked and looked at her daughter's courageous blue eyes. Camille nodded and smiled widely.

"I'm proud of you." Kimberley pulled Camille in closer and kissed her temple.

"So, what does 'starting over' really mean?" The mother looked down at her daughter's head that now rested on her shoulder.

"Just fixing everything that's broken." Camille truthfully opened up, showing the new and fresher side to her.

"Starting where?" Kimberley asked, causing the teen to lift her head.

"I'm going to have a sleepover with Sav tonight, just to have some fun," Camille said and Kimberley smiled, thinking that that's a good idea.

"I'm gonna go pack actually." Camille sighed and sat up. The mother and daughter shared one more sweet smile before Camille went upstairs.

Camille rung up Wren as she walked up the stairs and rushed to her room when he answered.

"Hey, I'm packing now. I'm so excited, but also nervous!" Camille shrieked to her boyfriend, who smiled when he heard her voice.

"Babe, we're going to find your Dad. Be excited!" He said, trying to clear her nerves away.

"Your right. So, what time will we get there?" Camille asked, referring to what time they will be in Manchester.

"Around seven thirty-ish. It will be at least four hours, but that's with good traffic." Wren told her as Camille heard him start his car.

"Okay, I'll let you drive. I'll see you in fourth." Camille let him go and smiled as she heard him sound sad about hanging up.

"See ya', babe," Wren said and Camille said goodbye before hanging up the phone. The teen got the rest of her things for Manchester ready and took the overnight bag downstairs.

"Ready to go?" Kimberley hurriedly asked before Camille nodded in response. The mother and daughter rushed out to the car, not wanting either of them to be late.

The ride to school wasn't quiet, it was filled with chatting, singing, and laughing - like always. Camille smiled as she listened to her Mum sing and wished she would do it more. When they pulled into the carpool circle, Camille's smile faded at leaving her Mum for the day.

"Savannah is going to pick me up after MTC, so I won't see you til after school tomorrow," Camille told her Mum, making Kimberley frown.

"Be good, use your manners, and say hello to Nicola for me," Kimberley said and kissed Camille's cheek. The teen smiled as she grabbed her rugsak, violin case, and overnight book-bag. She rushed out of the car and made sure to kiss Kimberley through the driver window before going to meet up with Beau and Keegan.
