Camille's POV

I jumped off Cheryl's lap, rushing my writing into the journal.  I ran up to the piano room, sitting on the bench.

I put my fingers up to the keys and began piecing the song together.

This is perfect.

I sighed in relief and grabbed the journal, circling the song. Finally! A song I love enough to sing for my audition.

I walked downstairs, realizing I haven't eaten anything since breakfast.

Author's POV

"I'll have to ask her - oh! Here she is now!" Cheryl handed Camille the phone as she walked into the kitchen.

"Hello?" Camille had no clue who Cheryl was talking to.

"Hiya, Caz!" Camille smiled at the familiar nickname.

"Hiya, Saz!" Sarah giggles at their nicknames.

"Listen, babe.  I've got my baby niece coming to live with me. The story is complicated, I'll explain later. Anyways, I need someone to baby sit her every now and then. Are you up for it?"

"Depends what I have to do. I don't know how to take care of a child."

"I can teach you everything. She's not much of a hassle, promise. She's such a good little girl, a little cheeky at times but so are you, I hear." Camille giggles, Cheryl has been talking about her with the other girls. Cheryl can't help but brag about her baby.

"Okay, sounds good. What's to know about her?"

"Her name is Genevieve, she's five. She likes to play a lot, so you can't just leave her be. She'll want you to play pretend with her, which is actually fun when you start playing. She absolutely loves macaroni and cheese, so know how to make that." Camille giggles at Sarah's babbling.

"Genevieve. Five years old. Likes to play pretend. Macaroni and cheese is one of my favorites, so I think we're good there. I think I've got it." Camille smiles at Cheryl, who has been listening to Camille's voice talking to her best friend.

"Thank you so much! I will pay you, I promise. Any amount, honest." Camille laughs again at Sarah's craziness.

"Don't be silly, Sarah. You don't have to pay me anything." Cheryl smiles at her daughters words, she can't believe the manners she has.

"Your the one being silly, of course I'm going to pay you!"

"First couple times you can pay me if you like, but if she's a good kid I don't see the point. If I enjoy my time there's no need to pay me." Sarah sighs at Camille's stubbornness to not take the money.

"Well, she'll be coming 'round to yours for Cheryl's birthday, so you can meet her then!" Camille's face dropped at the reminder of the party.  She's totally forgotten a present.

"Yeah, okay!  I'll see you then."

"Camille, your an angel sent from above!  I love you so much, thank you!"
