Kimberley's POV
"Hi, sleepy." I quietly said as I saw my daughter wake up "Are you gonna come downstairs and eat some dinner? Hmm?" Camille slightly nodded, seeing as she was still trying to fully wake up.
"What would you like?" I sweetly asked and had Camille think about it as we stayed wrapped up in our cuddle. Having my little girl in my arms means the world to me. I don't know how I ever got so lucky to have her brought into my life.
"Can you make some fish and chips? With mushy peas?" She adorably asked in her pouty voice.
"Of course, angel. C'mon." I said as I slowly lifted the duvet up and stood us both up. We walked downstairs together and I wasn't sure if we'd bump into Cheryl or not.
"Hey," I said to Camille before we entered the front room as I heard the telly on "Why don't you go to the kitchen and get the ingredients out for me?" I asked and she nodded, heading straight into the kitchen. I walked into the front room, expecting to see Cheryl lounging on the sofa. Instead, I was met by the abandoned telly and the patio door slid open a crack.
I looked out the window and saw Cheryl sitting in one of the pool loungers, looking out into the garden. She was curled into a ball and I could practically see her goosebumps from here. I quickly grabbed a blanket and quietly crept onto the patio.
"Lonely?" I spoke up as I neared Cheryl, seeing her fully awake. She smiled at me with a slight chuckle, letting me wrap the blanket around her shoulders.
"Camille's inside. Do you want to talk to her?" I informed Cheryl as I sat on the edge of the lounger. I looked at her and saw the sadness in her eyes at the mention of our daughter's name.
"I don't know. Does she want to talk to us?" Cheryl asked and I wasn't sure what to say. I want them to work this out, but they have to do it in their own time.
"I don't know." I honestly told her, not wanting to lie just to get them to talk.
"I think I'll leave it for the night." Cheryl sadly said as her shoulders fell and she shivered as a gust of wind flew by.
"Okay. Are you going to come back inside?" I asked, seeing how cold she is.
"Can you just cuddle for a few minutes?" Cheryl asked and I knew I had to resist the adorable pout and go back inside.
"Millie's waiting-" I said as I pointed back to the house.
"She can wait." She said and pulled me to lay next to her. Cheryl draped the soft blanket over us and curled into my side. I let her lay her head on my chest, just like Camille was minutes earlier.
"Can you give her kisses and hugs for us?" Cheryl said as she began to sit up after a few minutes. I nodded, knowing what she means. Even when the two are back at square one, they still seem to keep that immense amount of care in their heart.
"Good Night." I felt Cheryl kiss my cheek and stoop up alongside her. I gave her a kiss, wanting her to feel a little loved tonight.
"Good night, babe." I let Cheryl go back inside and watched her go straight upstairs. After locking the patio doors, I walked into the kitchen, seeing Camille still gathering ingredients.
