Kimberley's POV
Finally, I'm home. The smell, the touch, the love, the memories. I miss it all every day and it's not just the house, the city. Bradford is where I spent all of my childhood and a little of my adulthood. After I met Cheryl, I kind of abandoned it all - it's crazy what love can make you do.
"Look, it's the newly-weds-to-be!" Sally joked as all of my family walked out of the house. Cheryl and I smiled towards each other, then intertwined our fingers.
"Hey!" Amy exclaimed and ran over to me, inviting me into a huge cuddle. I hugged her tightly and rocked back and forth, feeling nostalgic to be hugging her in front of our childhood home. She asked to look at my ring and then melted over the big rock.
"Hi!" I beamed as I hugged Sally next and gave her a tight squeeze. Next was my baby brother Adam and my Dad.
"I've missed you so much!" I immediately let it all come out as I saw my Mum. We had a long cuddle as Camille and Cheryl hugged everyone else. My Mum is the one I miss the most, I'm not used to being away from her for so long.
"Oh, it's beautiful, Kimberley." Mum cooed and held onto my left hand. Her eyes couldn't be peeled away from my ring, practically drooling over it.
"Amy!" I looked behind me as I heard Camille scream out my sister's name. Amy is picking Camille up and kissing all over her face, giving her a proper welcome. Mum and I giggled to ourselves and had everyone go inside to get out of the cold.
"C'mon, sweetheart." I stroked my daughter's cheek as she was the last one to come in. I closed the front door and locked it, following everyone into the front room.
"Hi!" Camille cooed over Teddy as he ran straight over to her. She picked him up and held him on her hip, instantly getting a smile off of him. The way she cares for a cousin shows how ready she would be for a brother or sister. I can't wait to watch that scene someday.
"Okay, so Sally and Joe are with Teddy in the room at the top of the hall. Then, Adam is in the next one over and Cheryl and Kim, you're in the second to last. And, sorry Camille, you're bunking with Ames."
"Hey, why are you apologizing?!" Amy asked and made all of us laugh. Camille put Teddy down on the floor and let him roam off towards Sally.
"It's okay, we can have a sleepover!" Camille exclaimed and hugged Amy's waist. I smiled at the two of them, loving how close they are. Amy's a child at heart and Camille is the same exact way, so they're a match made in kid-heaven.
"Yay!" Amy beamed and kissed Camille's forehead. We all went out to our cars to retrieve our suitcases and bring them up to our rooms. Camille, Cheryl and I just grabbed a few things we need and threw them into smaller bags that we used as a carry-on.
"Happy to be engaged?" Sally asked as I went into the kitchen. Cheryl helped by putting my bag upstairs and putting my things away.
"Yeah, I seriously had no idea." I talked with Sally as I made mugs of hot chocolate for my two girls.
"I'm so happy for you!" Sally hugged me tightly, making me balance the mugs behind her back. I giggled and gave her a kiss on the cheek, happy to be surrounded by my siblings again.
"Happy for me? Or happy to finally be a bridesmaid." I joked around with Sally as we released our warm hug.
"Maybe a bit of both." Sally winked and then looked behind her as Teddy crawled into the kitchen. I smiled at how adorable he is and how much he looks like Sally. I can't wait to have my own little look-a-like one day.
