Author's POV
The teen closed her phone and walked across the hall. Camille had been waiting for it to be later in the morning 'til she went to wake her Mum up. She went into her Mum's bedroom and saw Kimberley still snoozing away.
"Mumma." Camille quietly said and laid on top of her mother. Kimberley woke up and felt the weight holding her down. She realized it was Camille and smiled. The mother wrapped her arms around Camille's body and held her close.
"Guess what?" Camille asked as she snuggled into her Mum's cuddle.
"What, cuddle bug?"
"We get to see Mam tomorrow." Camille cutely said and lifted her head from her Mum's chest.
"I know! Are you excited?" Kimberley kissed Camille's forehead a few times, expressing her love.
"Yeah, I'm excited to watch her perform too." Camille thought about how amazing her Mam's tour show must be. She can only imagine the immense amount of work Cheryl put into it.
"Well, if we're gonna catch that quick flight, we should start getting everything together." Kimberley said, seeing as it's already half past eleven. They need to be at the airport at four-thirty to make sure they catch their short flight to Newcastle. They would drive, but it's just too long.
The two got up and went to get ready. They didn't put on much makeup and both decided to go with some casual clothes for the airport. Nobody likes an uncomfortable flight.
Camille walked out of her ensuite and looked at the bag that she already packed and checked three times. She pulled it into the hallway and then rolled it to the top of the stairs. She lifted the heavy bag and carried it halfway down the stairs. When she stumbled a bit, the bag slipped from her hands and fell to the bottom of the staircase.
"What the hell?!" Camille heard Kimberley yell and run out of the kitchen. The mother looked at the suitcase on the floor and saw her daughter walking down the stairs.
"Oh my god! I thought you fell!" Kimberley walked over to Camille and held her face. Her eyes were still wide open and her heart was beating so fast.
"I almost fell, but the suitcase fell when I balanced myself." Camille said, feeling bad for giving her Mum a fright.
"Alright, lets go before I have a heart attack." Kimberley turned around and grabbed her own suitcase. Camille smiled and did the same, taking hers straight out to the car.
Camille helped her Mum out and put her bag in the boot. Kimberley went around and got in the car with Camille not far behind her. They drove to the airport and rushed to park and walk inside.
"I'm winded." Camille said as they got in line for security, making Kimberley giggle. Camille caught her breath back and made a mental note to start running again.
The mother and daughter stood in line for half an hour, just wanting to get through it. Camille's legs started to give out and she sat on her rolling suitcase. Kimberley played with the teen's hair to distract herself from getting annoyed. They finally got up to the scale and weighed their bags. They were all clear and the bags were thrown straight onto the belt.
"I'm starving." Camille whined to her Mum as they laced their fingers together. They walked through the airport, needing something to do.
"We'll get something to eat, sweetheart." Kimberley kissed her daughter's temple and started to search for a cafe or restaurant of some sort that Camille would like.
