Kimberley's POV

This morning I woke up and immediately thought about the conversation I need to have with Camille.  I thought a little bit about what I'm going to say, but who knows what could make her snap.

I went into me and Cheryl's ensuite and washed my face, brushed my teeth, and did everything possible to stall.  Once I ran out of things to do, I saw that Cheryl was still peacefully sleeping in bed.  I kissed her cheek and went down to start breakfast.

"Good Morning, sweetheart." I greeted Camille as I walked into the kitchen. She was sitting in one of the breakfast bar, sipping a coffee and reading a book.

"Hey." Is all she said, making me frown.  I tried to keep our conversation going and walked over to her.

"Whatcha reading?" I asked as I looked down at the book in her hands.  I put my arm around her and she didn't seem to mind - thankfully.

"The Twits by Roald Dahl." She replied as she looked at the cover of the book. I find it funny that she always picks up a book and doesn't even know the title before reading it.

"That's your Mam's favorite." I added, knowing how much Cheryl loves that book - for god knows that reason.

"She does know that this is a children's book, right?" Camille giggled and looked up at me.  Her blue eyes said it all.  She wants to talk about it, but doesn't know where to start.

"Then why are you reading it?" I asked, teasing her about it.

"Because I'm still legally a child." She smiled at me as I sat in the stool next to her.

"Whatever, smarty pants." I said and we both laughed.  After we settled, the air in the room went quiet.  I didn't know where to start, but thankfully she did.

"Are you going into work today?" She asked with slight sarcasm in her voice.  I decided not to tell her off and just answered her question.

"No, thought I'd stay home with you guys." I suggested, not getting a very impressed look in return.

"That's a first." She muttered under her breath, making me furrow my eyebrows.  I've never really heard her snap at me like that.

"Yeah, can we talk about that?" I asked, only getting her to dodge my question.

"There's nothing to discuss." Camille looked down at her book, pretending to continue her reading.

"But, there is.  I know that you think I've been working too much.  That you feel like I'm neglecting you." I said to her as I slowly slid the book away from her.

"Snitch." Camille whispered under her breath, making me slightly giggle.  She looked up at me and smiled.

"I don't want to argue, I just want to talk." She added, trying to have a civil discussion.

"That's doable." I nodded my head and agreed with her.  Camille's posh voice seemed to come out, shocking me - she never uses it anymore.

"I don't know if you've noticed-"

"I didn't, but when your Mam brought it up - I did." I told her, confessing my mistakes.
