Author's POV
Cheryl knocks on the door of her daughter's bedroom and cracks it open. She sneaks in and walks over to the teen. She hands her a New Years glass full of lemonade as Camille looks back at the door. Whispers and giggles of her family members can be heard outside. Cheryl gives her a knowing look and the teen nods her head.
"Okay, you can come in!" Cheryl shouts and everyone barges in the teen's room.
"Hi," Joan beams as she sits next to her granddaughter. Camille giggles and gives her Nan a hug, loving having her here for support.
"Ready?" Kimberley announces.
"Ten, nine, eight..."
Camille peers around the room and sees all of her close family members. She still cannot believe how she got so lucky to have a proper, loving family. Everyone loves her and she has never had that before, especially with aunts and uncles. With her family now, she feels more loved than ever.
"Three, two, one...Happy New Year!" They all shout and sip from their glasses, giggling for no reason.
"Happy New Year, baby," Cheryl quietly says to Kimberley and kisses her lips softly, "I love you,"
"I love you," Kimberley mutters back.
"Happy New Year, bubba," Cheryl says to her daughter as she hugs her.
"Happy New Year, Mammy," The teen replies and kisses Cheryl's cheek, "And Mummy," She adds as Kimberley joins the hug. The three, once again, create their own bubble — their love bubble.

Camille's POV"Mum, I need to talk to you about something," I say to Mum as I see her in the hallway outside my door. She steps back and waltzes into my room. She looks around and sees that I am by myself.
"Yeah?"
"I want to see my Dad," I blurt it out and see her freeze.
"Sweetheart, you're not ready to leave the house—" She urges me to try and rethink my decision.
"I have the wheelchair, I can do it."
"I don't think you should rush this,"
"Mum, I want to see my Dad," I repeat myself firmly as Mum sits next to me on the bed.
"Camille—"
"Mum, don't take this away from me." I plead and her eyes soften — I can tell that she feels guilty.
"I'm not taking anything away—" Mum still stands by her side of it.
"Then, let me see my Dad!" I snap and see that she becomes quickly annoyed.
"I'm not talking to you when you're like this," Mum affirms and puts her hands up. I slump back further into my pillows as she leaves my room. I watch her walk and do not bother to argue for her to stay.
"Fix her," I hear Mum say, "She's in one of her little moods," She continues as she walks further away from my bedroom and down the hall. I hear someone else's footsteps before Mam appears before me in the doorway.
"What'd you do now?"
"Nothing—"
"Millz—"
