Author's POV
"I didn't mean to wake you." Kimberley saw her daughter's sleepy figure sit up in bed as she pulled up her jeans and buttoned them. Camille realized that her Mum was getting ready for work and became confused on why she didn't wake her up.
"You should have woken me up," Camille said as she rolled over and saw the time on the clock. She was going to be late for school and she really can't afford that.
"I thought I'd let you have the day off. It seemed like you had a rough night." Kimberley talked as she walked around, still getting ready for work.
"No, I need to go to school." Camille got out of bed and walked straight out of her mothers' bedroom. Kimberley just shrugged it off and went back to getting ready. She knows that Camille is strong, so she just let her daughter do as she pleases.
The teen fastly looked through her closet and decided on a pair of black jeans and a dark brown sweater. Once she had the jeans on, her phone started buzzing on her nightstand. She sighed and walked over to her phone while taking off her shirt at the same time.
"Dibs, dibs, dibs, dibs, dibs!" Was all Camille heard from Valerie on the other side of the phone line. She rushed back to the closet and grabbed the sweater.
"Dibs on what?" Camille asked and made a confused look as she threw on her sweater with one hand.
"Being the one to take you to the big party at Melissa Danvers' house," Valerie said and Camille just laughed like she made a joke.
"I'm serious, babe," Valerie said and Camille stopped her laughing. She took her hair out of its long ponytail and let it just stay naturally wavy.
"My Mum will kill me." Camille seriously said, not understanding how Valerie could be serious about this.
"Just tell her we're gonna hang out." Valerie made up an excuse for Camille and she started to think about it.
"What time will you be here to pick me up?" Camille said as she slipped on her white converse and walked down the stairs. She saw that her Mum made her some toast and orange juice as Valerie continued to talk. When they finished their conversation, Camille had eaten her breakfast and Kimberley was done getting ready.
"Only fifteen minutes to get ready and you still look gorgeous." Kimberley humorously complimented her daughter, making the teen smile widely.
"You look gorgeous too," Camille said to her mother, seeing Kimberley's usual outfit for work. Kimberley is just effortlessly gorgeous in Camille's eyes. Kimberley hugged the teen and kissed her face about a million times.
"C'mon, can't be late," Kimberley said as she let Camille go and grabbed her purse. Camille giggled at her Mum and followed her out the door, not forgetting to grab her own bag.
"Don't forget that Wren is driving me home today, so you don't have to." Camille said to her Mum and Kimberley just nodded. When they got to MaryAnne's Camille got her stuff from the back and kissed her Mum goodbye.
"Love you lots!" Camille said before closing the door and smiling at Kimberley. When she got to the building door, she met with Beau and his boyfriend, Keegan.
"If you're gonna eat each other's faces, I'll leave you behind." Camille said to Beau and Keegan who are lip-locking to no end.
"Meet you at second?" Beau pleaded and Camille just giggled at him and Keegan's cute relationship. They sometimes go to the boys bathroom on third hall and just go at it. Keegan doesn't know Camille knows this, but Beau spills all the tea to his bestie.
