* Warning: possibly triggering and very sad *

We had been at the Right Arm three days and it's been agony. Not only the throbbing pain in my shoulder from the wound but the ache in my chest.

Newt and Sonya have been inseparable, like him and I were in the maze, holding hands, hugging although I've yet to see a kiss. I've hid on this one ledge for the past few days except for the occasional meals and training sessions.

I asked Harriet to train me in hand to hand combat and more things like that. I was planning on escaping this. I can't stand seeing Newt loving Sonya everyday right in front of me. It was as if someone punched me in the chest every time I saw them. I was done.

I walked down the ledge, careful to keep my eyes off the blonde couple. I walked to Harriet who happened to be across from them and asked her to follow me.

"Hey (Y/N)," Newt said. I sighed and pulled everything in me to turn around. It would be last last time I saw him.

"Hi Newt," I said as cheerfully as I could but failed miserably.

"Ready sweetheart," Harriet teased with the usual nickname she gave me as a way to pump me up. I nodded and followed her into another tent.

"Are you sure about this? You've been in the Scorch so you know how horrible it is," she said handing me a thin but filled backpack.

"I'm sure. I can't be here anymore," I sighed and took out a slip of paper from my pocket. I handed it to her as she rolled it around to inspect it.

"Give it to Minho. I need him and my boys to see it." I threw my backpack on my shoulder and took the small gun from her hand. "Thank you Harriet."

"I sure hope you know what you're doing," she chuckled. "Jax will meet you at the door. He'll walk you out to your car."

"Thanks. Promise me you'll keep my boys safe." She pulled me into a tight hug with a single tear rolling down her cheek.

"Wow I'm gonna miss you. You've been a better friend to me than any of my glade girls," she said with a smile

"I'm gonna miss you too. Don't worry I'll be fine on my own. But thanks for everything. I finally felt like I belonged." Another tight hug was exchanged as well as a few sniffles from each of us.

"He'll be waiting for you by the doors," she said and wiped the tears off her cheeks.

"Thanks Harriet. You've been amazing to me," I said leaving the room with my head held high. I was walking into my death and honestly I didn't mind.

"I'm going with you," Brenda cheered behind me. I spun around only a few meters from the door and Jax.

"What? No you're not. Thomas and Jorge need you," I said pushing her a little back in a playful way.

"(Y/N) i hate it here. I'm bit and I'm better off in the Scorch. I'm gonna help you," she said. I wrapped my arms around her for a tight hug like mine and Harriet's but a little longer.

"No you have to stay. You can barely walk anyways. You need to stay with them." She opened her mouth to protest but another hug shut her up. "Thank you Brenda. Please take care of my boys okay."

"I'll make sure nothing happens to them. Oh I'll miss you," she said with her own tear. I guess I didn't realize how much these two girls would miss me.

"I'll miss you too but I need you here. I'll see you again one day," I smirked hoping to lift this weight off both of our chests.

"Promise?"
