I was sitting on my balcony above tons of blankets and pillows. I was reading through an old diary of mine from when I was around 10 years old and brought it with me. Everything was quiet as I read my book under the twinkling stars.-
Entry 1
/Dear diary,
Mommy yelled at me and Tommy today. She was angry at me for playing ball with Thomas and kicking it into mean Mrs. Moon's yard. She never liked us but Thomas says she's an evil witch tricking my mommy into joining her evil ways. I don't know about that but i just think it's funny when he talks to me. Mommy says he's not real but I don't believe it. I know he's my best friend forever even if he is my only friend. Well mommy's gonna tell at me soon so GOODBYE!! ~(Y/N)/
-I giggled to myself reading through my old selfs head. Since I was an only child without many friends, I made myself an imaginary friend named Thomas. He was my age and did everything I did.
"Oh Tommy. I wish you were real," I giggled and set the book down. I looked up at the stars and watched a shooting star drive through the other stars causing me to smile. My eyes became heavy as I closed them and fell asleep.
I woke up hours later with a blanket over me. I then felt an arm wrapped around my waist. I spun around and looked over at where the arm was attached. It was a blonde haired boy with his eyes closed.
"AHH!" I shrieked and fell off the bed. My body hit the hardwood floor with a loud thump. With closed eyes, I rubbed the back of my head and propped myself up on my elbows. The boy leaned over the edge and looked worried at me.
"Are you alright, love?" He had a British accent which if I had to admit sounded pretty hot.
"Who are you? How did you get in here?" I asked standing up. The boy looked confused and sat up too.
"It's me (Y/N). It's Tommy," he said with a cheerful smile.
"Tommy? You mean the imaginary friend from when I was a kid?"
"Yeah. You wished for me last night on that shooting star so," he climbed out of bed with his arms out, "here I am."
"But-but that's not possible. You don't get things by wishing on stars," I chuckled.
"It happens rarely when the wisher is in dire need of their wish. You're really lonely and depressed so you need me." I paced back and forth with my nails in my teeth. "Will you calm down, love? Everything's alright."
"No its not. I'm going crazy! I'm seeing the imaginary friend I had from elementary school. God I need a drink," I said leaving the room and running to the kitchen. I grabbed the bottle of whiskey I had hidden in my cabinet and unscrewed the cap. Before the bottle could touch my lips, a hand was over it making me kiss it.
"You've grown up, love. We used to drink apple juice and now you've got out the big stuff," he chuckled and put the drink away. "Look you're not crazy. I'm real and so are you. Now, can I make you breakfast?"
"Uh sure?" I said backing away. "Mind if I ask you questions then?"
"Go right ahead." He grabbed the box of frozen waffles from the freezer and set it on the counter.
"How did you get here?" I asked.
"I was called. I was just chilling at home when I felt you call me so I came down."
"Where is that? Where is your home?"
"I live with the other imaginary friends when their kids don't need them. Most of us usually never come back but some need extra help." He put the frozen waffles on the pan and popped them in the oven. He then set a timer and came over to me.
"Anything else?" He asked standing in front of my stool.
"Are you gonna leave again?"
"When you don't need me again. When I'm not longer needed, I'll go back home," he explained. I nodded and put my hands in my lap.
"Is that it now?" He asked with a smirk.
I shrugged. "I guess so." He nodded and put his arms around me.
"I missed you, (Y/N)! It's been so long," I put my legs down and hugged him tightly back. It did feel really good to hug someone since I was pretty lonely.
"I missed you too, I guess. I mean, you really were my only friend," I giggled.
"Aww you're so sweet. Do you still have your sweet tooth? Your favorite was always chocolate," he smiled but kept his arms around me.
"Not as bad. Now it's rare I eat chocolate." He finally took me out of a hug. "Did you always look like this?"
"Like what?" He chuckled and looked down at himself.
Hot. Damn he looked hot.
"Yes I did. You were just too young to know the word," he answered. I covered my mouth when I realized I said it out loud.
He was a really attractive boy. He was blonde with deep chocolate brown eyes with specks of gold. He was tall... really tall and a built body but not too much. He looked perfect.
"And you still look as gorgeous as you did when you were ten and had leaves in your hair," he smiled and put his hand on my cheek.
"You're flirting with me. Bloody hell, my imaginary friend is flirting with me. Will this ever be normal?" I said putting my head in my hands.
"One day it will be. For now we're gonna watch tv and eat waffles," he said pulling my hands from my face. He then ran to the kitchen and pulled the food out of the oven. Okay, maybe this could be fun.
------
I've been living with Thomas for months now. He's been like my best friend from when I was a kid but now he's more mature. Instead of playing games with me, we're going to see movies, he's helping me with work and cooking with me.
The only issue is, I think I like him as more than a friend. I know he's not real but I love everything about him and that's the issue. He's everything I need him to be but it's not real. He's being exactly what I want him to be so he's not himself. In falling in love with the imaginary man I've made for myself.
"Morning, love," Thomas said entering the room. He wrapped his arms around me from behind and put his head on my shoulder.
"Morning Tommy," I sighed. He must have noticed my hesitation when he spun me around so I could face him. He lifted my chin so our eyes could meet. "What's wrong?"
"When are you leaving me? You said when I don't need you and when is that?" I asked.
"I'm not leaving. I love you and I don't want to leave you. I'll leave if you want me to," he said kissing my nose. I giggled
"Don't leave. I need you. I do." I put my hand on the back of his neck. "And I need this." I leaned in and pressed our lips together. He kissed back making me press our bodies closer. He put his hands on my hips and left no space between us.
We pulled apart and put our foreheads together. I opened my eyes and looked back into his brown ones while pursing my lips.
"I think you still need me. I mean I haven't fulfilled all your needs," he smirked and lowered his hands on my hips. His hands suddenly gripped my bum before squeezing lightly.
"That's a need I need you to take care of now," I purred and pulled my bottom lip into my teeth.
"Well if you need it," he smirked and swiftly pulled me off the ground and onto his hips with our lips reconnected. He carried me down to the bedroom and tossed me on the bed...
