"Morning (Y/N)," Mrs. Sangster said as I entered the house.

"Morning Mrs. Sangster," I smiled and hugged her.

"Oh (Y/N). I've told you a hundred times, call me Tasha," she said leading me into the kitchen. "Would you like a pancake?"

"Yes please. That sounds lovely," I said hanging my jacket and purse on the rack. Thomas, Ava, Mark were already sat at the table.

"(Y/N)!" Ava squealed and jumped up from the table

"(Y/N)!" Ava squealed and jumped up from the table. She was a year younger than me and two years younger than Thomas.

She pulled me into a tight hug with our faces filled with smiles. Since I had been best friends with Thomas, I became best friends with Ava since I was at their house so often.

"Its been a while two weeks," I giggled and let her sway us towards the table, still engulfed in the hug.

"I know. My, how you've changed," she laughed and finally let us look at each other.

"Wow you look beautiful as always," I smiled at her making her blush.

"But look at you! A supermodel," she said pushing my hands out as if to show me off.

"Oh thank you," I blushed and looked down at the full table. "Good morning Mr. Sangster."

"Call me Mark. You're part of the family, (Y/N)," he replied with a mouth full of pancakes. I took the seat between Thomas and Ava and finally looked over at him. I was nervous considering I wasn't sure what the kiss last night would mean for us.

"Morning Tommy," I smiled at him. He already had a large grin on his face when he slipped his hand carefully onto my leg. I took his hand and intertwined our fingers while looking at the arrangement of food with red cheeks.

"Morning," he said softly with his eyes on me.

"Tasha and I were going into town today. Would you kids care to join us?" Mark asked with more food in his mouth. He always talked with his mouth full of food.

"Shopping?" Ava offered looking between Thomas and I.

"I'm good with anything," I said looking to Thomas.

"Nah we'll stay here," he answered looking at me.

"Here you go, darling," Tasha said setting a plate of pancakes in front of me.

"Thank you. They smell terrific," I smiled up at her and switched the hand I was holding with Thomas.

After sharing a nice meal with the Sangster's filled with laughing and nice conversation that I'm not used to with just my mother, I helped Tasha and Ava clear the table and wash dishes.

"Well we'll see you kids when we get back," Tasha said swinging her purse over her shoulder.

"Have a fun time," Ava and I said in sync before laughing to ourselves.
