The first thing I noticed when I woke up, was the nauseous feeling when my body was jerked upwards. The second thing I noticed was how pitch black the elevator was. Either way, both of them were uncomfortable feelings when you wake up confused.

It took two tries before I staggered to my feet, my right hand guiding me down the wall until my stomach hit into a large crate. I know I should worry about where I was or what I just ran into but a more horrifying thought crossed my mind: who am I?

I couldn't remember my age, my birthday, what I looked like or even what my name was! How does someone forget what their name is? That wasn't something you forget. Someone must have taken it from me. But who?

When the lift came to a quick halt, my body flew slightly off the ground and slammed back down. When the large doors above me opened, bright light blinded me. I darted my eyes to the ground which was too far down to be seen.

"It's a girl," a boy's voice said above me. When my eyes adjusted to the light, I spun around to look up at the boy who just talked. It was one boy leaning over the edge of the door looking down at me. From this angle, I couldn't make out a single thing about him besides his darkened skin.

I hadn't realized I couldn't breath until I slammed my hand over my chest.

"Hey, hey, calm down," the boy said jumping into the box. The entire thing shook, which only worsened my hyperventilating. I unintentionally jumped when his hand was placed on my upper back. It was meant to comfort me but it only made things worse.

"(Y/N), hey. Relax. You're okay," the boy whispered, gently rubbing my back. I froze when I heard the name he said. (Y/N). The name sent off a shock inside my head, as if I was electrocuted with a tiny jolt of electricity.

I turned to face him. His face looked so familiar, yet I couldn't put a single finger on it. Where had I seen him before?

"H-how do you know my name?" I questioned, shakily.

The boy smiled and held onto my hand. I thought it would make me panic again, but this time I was glad he held my hand. "(Y/N). I'm your brother."

-- 1 year later --

The glade only got better from that day. My brother, who's name I learned was Alby, explained what he knew, which wasn't much. It took until three months went by and three more boys appeared for us to finally catch on to what was happening.

It didn't take long for Alby to establish order either. It was when the third boy- Gally- came up and offered many suggestions as to how he thought Alby and I should do things. Alby went off on him until Gally learned Alby was the first person up here, therefore he was in charge.

The fourth person to come up was an obnoxious, cocky boy who immediately clicked with Alby unexpectedly. His name was Minho and he was by far the most egotistical boy I could possibly imagine. Nonetheless he was one of my closest friends being as I only had two to chose from.

The fifth month was when he came. The boy who changed my life. I know, it sounds cliche and silly but it was the month my other half came up.

Newt was petrified when he came up in the box; clinging onto the walls as if they were his mother and shaking like an earthquake. Gally tried to calm him down but I pushed him out of the way and jumped down myself. Newt from then on clung to me like glue, which I didn't mind what so ever.
