I really liked this idea and I hope you like how it turned out! *Thomas's POV
"I'll be right back, Tommy. I have to go to the store," (Y/N) said as she stood up from the couch. (Y/N) and I had been best friends for as long as I can remember, so it wasn't uncommon for her to be staying at my house like she was right now. She had actually moved in with me two months ago after she crashed at my house for the night and I realized I wanted her to be there every night.
That wasn't the only reason I wanted her here. I had been in love with her for years, and having her at my house meant she never had to be away from me. I could also keep her from going out with other guys by making lame excuses to keep her here.
"Wait!" I yelled, causing her to stop at the front door. "Let me come with you. Y'know just to keep you company or make sure nobody messes with you. I can be your protection." I internally face palmed at how stupid that sounded. She could protect herself, I just wanted a chance to ride on her motorcycle with her.
"Alright, tough guy, you can come protect me," she laughed and finished slipping her jacket on.
She had a motorcycle just like I did, except hers was a tiny bit smaller so there was less space on it. That just made it easier for me to be close to her without having to make up some stupid reason. She handed me my helmet after pulling hers on and waited for me to climb on behind her. She always offered me to drive, but I never once have taken her up on her offer. I mean, who would give up the chance the hold the girl you love?
She turned on the bike seconds before I wrapped my arms around her and inched my hips up towards hers. I left them loose around her stomach and used one hand to hold onto my other arm so that I wasn't holding onto her. I was still too nervous to push it too far since this was a kinda intimate position.
Halfway through the ride, she made a sharp turn, almost sending me off the back. I could hear her laugh over the rushing wind, telling me she did it on purpose. I wrapped my arms tighter around her and this time rested my hands against it with my chest against her back. Moments like these are when I could pretend I was more than her friend, that I was holding onto my girlfriend instead of my best friend.
For now I would just let her take me anywhere I needed to go, that way I could hold her and keep my eye on her anywhere she goes, at least until I pluck up the courage to ask her out.
-----
Fifteen minutes had gone by of me waiting for (Y/N) outside of school. She was never late, not once, so imagine my panic when fifteen minutes have passed since her usual time. Just as I was about to call the police since I was an over dramatic person, I heard the whirring of a motorcycle, and watched it zoom towards the front doors.
The relief washed away almost as quickly as it came, when I saw somebody else sitting on the bike with her. She stopped at the entrance to the school, and pulled the helmet off her head, not without throwing her head back to fix her messy hair. She looked beautiful when she did it, and she always did it.
The boy behind her was hesitant to take his hands off her hips, and he wasn't shy about how low his hands were on her. He pulled the helmet- the helmet I usually use- off his head and swiped his head to the left, following the curve of his parted hair. He was a built guy with a full head of dark hair, matching well with his dark eyes. He slid off the bike while fixing the black leather jacket surrounding his body. He definitely had the bad boy look down.
