My cousin Cassie and I were out at the mall for the day when we stopped to grab a snack. She grabbed a twisted pretzel and I grabbed a small cup of fries.

"So," Cassie said breaking the silence as we ate. "Any boys in your life?"

"Not for me. I prefer the ones in the movies," I chuckled and but into a fry.

"Oh like the maze runner cast. I know you have a thing for Thomas. I personally never like those books or the movies," she said with a half full mouth of food.

"Well it doesn't matter. Ready to go?" She nodded while shoving the remaining pretzel into her mouth and tossing the wrapper.

We had wandered into a book store when we noticed a large line of giggling girls in the back of the store. Cassie squealed as she pointed to the display that read 'Maze Runner cast meet and greet.'

All eyes fell on her as I buried my head in my hands due to the unwanted attention she made come my way. I had never like long lines, crowds or just people in general so that's why i stuck to books so easily.

"Let's go!" She cheered and pulled me towards the line.

"I don't want to. I'll somehow embarrass myself. I'll meet you over there," I said pointing to a set of couches far across the room.

"Don't worry. I'll have them sign your name," she winked.

I rolled my eyes and slowly sauntered over to the counter where I ordered a large hot chocolate with my name written sloppily on the side.

I scanned the shelves of books on the fiction isle when I found the book I was looking for: The Fever Code. It was the newest book in the Maze Runner series and it looked exciting. Plus it was with young Newt and he was my favorite character.

I brought the book and the drink to an empty couch and curled my legs into my chest. I took a sip of my drink and flipped to the first page.

After thirty minutes, I had already finished a fifth of the books. I had cried once, giggled a hundred times and clutched my chest from butterflies an immense amount of times.

"I've never seen someone read a book so intently like you love," a British voice said above me. It was Thomas. I mean the Thomas Brodie-Sangster.

"Oh umm I-," I stuttered and clamped the book shut. This only shook the couch and the table beside it as my drink spilled onto the wooden table.

"Oh shuck." I mumbled under my breath. I had picked up a few of the glader terms since I thought they were funny to use but they sort of stuck with me.

"Your first instinct is to yell shuck? Here let me," he said taking the napkin from my hand and cleaning the stained table. My cheeks burned red as I sealed my lip before throwing it in the bin to never be seen again.

"Thank you," I said shyly sitting back down and placing the book on my lap.

"I'm Thomas although I'm sure you know that," he said sticking his hand out.

I took it and shook it almost too light when I awkwardly retracted my hand. "I'm (Y/N)."

"What a beautiful name," he cooed as my cheeks became an even darker red. "If you don't mind my asking, why didn't you get an autograph?"

"I figured you had a hundred things to sign so I made it only 99. Plus I knew I'd embarrass myself somehow, although I just did," I sighed and looked back at the damp coffee table.

"Oh but I would have loved to sign your name. It would given me a chance to give you my phone number."

He had a devilish grin on his face as my cheeks flushed once again. I rethought what he said and decided to forget about knowing I probably misheard.

"Well don't you have dreams to make come true," I giggled and pointed at the line of girls who seemed oblivious to Thomas.

"Not when I have yours to fulfill." We stayed silent but not in an awkward silence as I noticed his eyes locked on me but mine were rested on my hands.

I would occasionally glance at him and noticed his eyes stayed in the same place. I would blush and look away quickly still noticing his smug smirk.

"Y'know you're not like other girls," he blurted out, destroying our silence.

"That's because I'm an introvert. I could never stand in that line especially to meet you guys." I pushed the hair out of my face with my left hand.

"Well I want to see you again. May I?" He stood up and held his hand out as a true gentleman. My fingers tingled and my stomach did somersaults before I pulled my hand back with a shy smile.

"I would love that. Here," I said taking out a small slip of paper before I scribbled 10 numbers down and handed it to him.

"Thanks (Y/N). I really liked meeting you. And who knows, maybe I'll see you when I'm done," he grinned.

He leaned in and kissed my cheek which only brought more red to them. He waved goodbye and ran to the front of the line disappearing in the sea of girls.

I think I just went on a date with Thomas Brodie-Sangster.
