Marta POV
The next week after our visit to Marco's parents was for me extremely busy. I had so much work and Marco was training all the time that we simply had no time to meet. Of course there were countless messages and phone calls but that was not as good as a real meeting. Additionally Marco's announcement that we are together doesn't go unnoticed and suddenly I became a figure of interest of many gossip media. Definitely it was not the thing I was looking forward to, but still it was some kind of funny to find strange revelations about me in the media.
Hi gorgeous! – said Robin giving me a kiss on the cheek and sitting next to me. It was Saturday and we decided to grab a breakfast toghether, since Marco was having today an away game so he was supposed to be back in Dortmund tomorrow in the evening. – How is our star? – he winked at me cheekily.
You know what? I have never thought that my life is so interesting – I sighed – Really, I feel like under constant observation. And even yesterday when I was on a meeting with a client he asked me if I can arrange Marco to be an ambassador of their brand.
Hahahah, great. Let me guess, of course you agreed? – he winked at me.
Don't even joke. Imagine Marco in an ad for baby food! – I smiled.
I can imagine that, but first you should work a little more. You know what I mean – he winked once more and I punched him in the arm.
That is definitely out of question now, you stupid. – I said annoyed.
But wouldn't you like to start a family with him one day? – Robin asked takin a sip of his coffee.
The thing between us is still fresh. And most of all I will not answer you, because I know you, and I know that you will be the first to run to Marco and tell him – I smiled.
Yeah, you are probably right. - he winked.
We were sitting in the café and chatting for nearly an hour and a half and I was really enjoying my time. But suddenly our meeting was interrupted by a person who sat on the free chair next to our table.
Hi Klara, nice to see you too – Robin said annoyed looking at a person who joined us uninvited.
Oh snap it Kaul. There is no need for courtesy – Klara hissed at him. – But how are you bitch? – she asked looking at me – I am sure that you are really pleased with what you have achieved. I really felt from the beginning that you were planning that from the beginning.
And good morning to you too Klara. – I said unimpressed – I was not planning anything, but that how life goes sometimes. I am sorry for you, I really am, but I had nothing to do with Marco when you were still together. So please cut me some slack.
Oh you are so funny. Now you are playing this good, little girl that just happened to find her prince. – she said in the poisonous voice – But let me tell you something. First of all I know that you are only here for his money. I know where you live, there is no way you earn good money...
You know nothing Klara. Didn't it appear to you that some people are simply not materialist? – I said chuckling.
Sincerely I don't care. And second of all I want you to know that I am going to get him back. Sooner than you expect – she said triumphantly and stood up.
Klara, I think that you should look somewhere else. – Robin said in a rough voice – Marco ended it with you, and I am glad to say, that he is finally happy.
Oh bla bla bla Robin – she said and rolled her eyes – We will see. – she said and went away.
In her presence I was holding myself but now my hands started to tremble.
