Marco POV

When guys came back from the meeting with Alex and told me that it was highly possible that today I would be able to see her I felt like a lottery winner. Probably the whole rest of the day I was simply unbearable planning the way I was going to approach her and what exactly I would tell her. But my friends were more than supportive and didn't even wince, so maybe when the whole thing would be over I should thank them in a special way or I don't know, maybe give Reus-appreciates medal.

It was 10PM and we were already for one hour in the place that Alex pointed to guys. I wanted to be there as early as possible to be sure that I would meet her. The place was pitoresque, one of those that come to your mind when you think of an outdoor party in Brazil. As I understood it was some kind of neighbourhood partiy organized to celebrate the patron saint of that street. It took place in an area between four buildings what made it look a little bit like a swimming pool, because the only way to get there was by long stairs that led from the street. Whole place was decorated with dim lights what gave it a nice atmosphere. There were three bars serving beers and typical caiprinhas, there were also few foodstands where old ladies prepared something that smelled delicious and probably if I hadn't been so nervous I would love to try it. On the stage there was a dj playing nice music that made everybody on the dancefloor move their hips a little bit. I was sitting with my two self proclaimed wingmen at one of the tables placed near the walls. This was a great observation point because our corner was dark so nobody would recognize me from the distance and at the same moment we had a good view at the stairs by which everybody was arriving at the place. It was a win-win situation.

Here – said Robin giving me a glass that he brought from the bar – Drink Marco. You should relax a little bit, because if not, I am afraid that you will have a heartattack.

Very funny Robin. Very. – I said in a grumpy way but I took a sip of my drink and immediately I felt grateful. Strong liquid calmed my senses a little bit. – You said that they will be here at what time? – I asked looking impatiently at my watch. It was already half past ten, the place was slowly filling with people but still there was not the smallest sign of her being here.

Alex said that they should be here at 10PM. – Forni answered – But maybe there is a difference between our German 10PM and Brazilian. – he tried to joke.

Maybe – I shrugged with my eyes fixed on the stairs.

The time was passing and guys were already slightly tipsy. Once in a while one of them went to the dancefloor and they took turns on sitting with me like two baby sitters. Some girls tried to approach us, but I was definitely not in the mood to make new acquaintances. I was there because I wanted to get my girl back and only that counted.

I looked at my phone – it became my habit to check whether she had wrote me something or not, and as usually there was nothing. I was starting to type something to Mario who asked me to keep him updated when Robin placed his elbows in my ribs.

Robin, what the fuuu.... – I growled angrily but before I managed to finish he showed me with his head to look into direction of the stairs. From the distance I saw the silhouette of Alex who stood at the top glancing over the crowd. He knew that boys were supposed to be here so probably he wanted to check that. Fortunately we were sitting in such a secluded place that he was not able to see me, because if he did I am sure that I would be simply dead in few seconds. After a while of hesitation he began to descent the stairs and after him I could see few other people definitely in the party mood because they were dancing and laughing aloud greeting other people at the same time. And then I saw her and for me the world stood still. There she was. Marta. My girl.

She was the last one from that group to arrive. I could see that her face was tired and she was a little skinny. There was something unhealthy about her, and a realization of that made me swallow, because I knew that I was the reason of all that. But still even not being in her best shape she still looked like the most beautiful girl in the world. Her hair was put in a high ponytail leaving few of wavy strains outside of it and she had simple black summer dress. She looked uncertain around her and I was ready to jump and run to her, when a tall guy approached her put an arm around her waist and whispered something in her ear. That made her smile a little, with a shy smile that I loved so much.

Robin saw that too and he put his hand on my shoulder.

I am sure it is nothing – he said.

They were now going down the stairs and now he was holding her hand leading her through the crowd. The frustration was growing inside me. Was she really that fast in forgetting about me?

What if it is already too late? – I whispered reminding myself of the photo that she posted on Instagram.

Marta POV

Alex was trying to convince me to come to this neighbourhood party for good few days and I agreed to come on a wave of sudden positive attitude that I found in myself. But now already after a before party that took place in Miguel's apartment I was totally not in the mood. Everybody was tipsy and i was rather refraining from big amounts of the alcohol due to the fact that I felt just weak.

The whole evening my brother was really tense so my every attempt to speak with him ended with him shrugging his shoulders or just grumbling annoyed. I knew him my whole life and for me it was just a sign that there is no point of interacting with him, cause he would eventually come to me to tell what was troubling him.

Now I was standing at the top of the stairs looking down on the dancing crowd. Everybody was so carefree and i really envied them. I turned my head to see Miguel aproaching me. He smiled at me with his boyish smile and put his arm around my waist.

Smile a little bit, it is not a funeral. I am sure that you will have some fun - he whispered in my ear - and have i told you that you look stunning today?

I smiled at him and nodded. I really could use some fun to forget about everything even if it would be only for this evening. He smiled back took my hand and guided me through the crowd. When we reached the rest of our group one of the girls smiled at me and handed me a glass of caipirinha. I thanked her and took a big sip looking around to lay my eyes of my brother who was examining the dancing crowd with his jaw clenched. He was behaving in a really strange way today.

We have been standing next to the bar for couple of rounds and even if I was reluctant in the first place, I was now drinking just like everyone else. My brother's friends were really funny and no one of them knew about my story with Marco and thanks to that they were treating me like a normal person and not like a girl you should have pity for. After my second drink I started to move my hips a little bit to the beat and when I turned around I caught a glimpse of someone who looked exactly like Forni from the distance. I shook my head smiling to myself because it was totally not possible that I could be him. Besides, his features are typical to a latino guy, so there was a big possibility that he had his doppelganger in Brazil right?

When the song changed someone took the empty glass from my hand. I was then turned to the side and I saw Miguel smiling and stretching his hand to me.

Come on! I know that you would love to dance - he winked at me. I sighed and nodded agreeing to his invitation.

Miguel stopped at the middle of the dancefloor and started to move his body towards me. He definitely wanted to amuse me and I giggled. I enjoyed the music that the dj was playing because it was a mix of popular international songs and brazilian hits. We were dancing for few songs when suddenly I heard the sound of The Weekend's Earn it - a song that I have always associated with Marco. I stood in one place reminding myself the good times that we had, when Miguel approached me and put one of his hands on my waist. He was moving his hips to the beat while he put his another hand on my chin to lift up my gaze to him. He was taller then me and I had to blink few times because the lights were just blinding me. Miguel smiled and ran his fingers through my cheek. He took a deep breath and let out the air from his lungs.

Querida, you are so beautiful. - he run his tongue on his his lips still staring into my eyes - and I have been dying to do that...

He lowered his head and I felt his breath on my lips.
