Chapter 42:

Shawn's pov

Since the puppies don't have their mother to breastfeed them the doctors have to do it. We can't bring them home for 3 weeks.

Sam hasn't been taking it well at all. Two weeks have passed and I remind her about the babies but she hasn't been as excited as she was before.

"Daddy mommy no play"

"No baby mommy feel sad"

"Why daddy?"

"Because of jax baby"

She frowns "oh"

"Go give mommy a hug" I tell her . I watch as she runs to sam and wraps her tiny arms around her.

"Hey baby I brought you some pizza " I smile handing it to her .

"Thanks but I'm not hungry" she turn back around placing the covers back over her head.

"Come on sam you have to eat you haven't been eating much lately"

"I'm not hungry Shawn" she pleads

"You eating for two remember you have a baby of your own to care for" she begins to cry again.

"Sam please stop crying "

"It's not that easy Shawn what if I just disappeared from your life without you getting a chance to say goodbye how would you feel ? Your everyday routine wouldn't be the same your whole life has to go on without me how would you feel?"

I understand what she's saying "I don't think I would be able to feel anything "

"Exactly I loved jax with all my heart and soul she was the only other girl in the house besides Amelia she was always there for me and I didn't get to be there for her " her voice cracking.

I pull her to my chest "well look you just have to be strong her babies are now yours and she wouldn't want anyone else to take care of them . You have Jace he's the dad how do you think he feels ? You have jasper , he's the life of the party that was his bestfriend? You have Amelia who's is just as much as a trouble maker as the dogs" she laughs wiping her tears .

" and you got me the best person in the whole wide world to help you get through this , you have everything you need"

"You forgot about little mendes" she adds

"How could I forget mendes jr who will grow up with the puppies "

"How do you know if it's a boy ?" She smirks

"When are you going to tell me what we're having?" I ask nicely

She smiles "soon" I roll my eyes

3am

I wake up from my sleep hearing a noise. I look over at sam she's fast asleep I get up walking down the hall I see Amelia's door open and light on . But she's not in there jasper is sleeping on the floor.

I walk towards the noise to the laundry room I see Amelia pushing buttons with Jace beside her. "What are you doing ?" I crouch down to her level .

She jumps in fright "nothing!" I give her a look and she looks down opening the door handing me her pink blanket. It's soak I can smell the urine. I cringe holding it with my finger tips . I can see the tears building in her eyes "aw don't cry princess"

"I-i try daddy " she starts crying

"I know you did baby it's okay" I put the blanket down and pull her into a hug.

"Everything okay ?" I turn around seeing a very tired and pregnant sam.

Her stomach has grown a lot within these three weeks she is now 12 weeks pregnant . She looks beautiful even at 4 am.

She stops her movements and looks at me like I'm crazy .
"Why are you staring at me?" She ask tugging her shirt down over her stomach but I can still see it she's starting to feel self conscious I can tell. "You look beautiful " I tell her lifting Amelia up.

"She had an accident and decided to wash her blanket herself"

"Wow well she learn something from watching us she can start doing her own laundry" we both laugh. I quickly toss her blanket in the wash . I'll start it later I don't want to interupt my sleep.

"Jace come here boy" I call as he gets up and follows.

"I guess she can sleep with us she's been running through blankets like crazy" sam suggests

"What about our bed?" I ask .

"She's going to have pull ups on Shawn"

"I don't know " I sigh looking down at Amelia as she gives me the most adorable look.

"Okay"

"Yay sleepover Amelia" sam chants.

"Yay!" Amelia claps her hands.

Sam pov

I feel movement next to me continuously interrupting my sleep. I finally get up seeing Amelia climbing down from our bed walking into the bathroom. Thank god I put another potty and stool in there. I here the water running and soon after the door open. She climbs back into bed struggling . I help her up and place her back in the middle.

"I go potty" she smiles happily

"I know I saw baby good job!"

I look at the clock and it's no other than 7am.

Shawn's alarm goes off and he wakes.

"Morning my loves" he smiles placing kisses on each of our lips.

"Okay I have a lot to do today , if you want babe you can stop by at the studio" he says while on the phone.

"Okay go don't want you to be late " I give him a kiss quickly but he pulls me back pulling me in for a longer kiss .

"Ewwwww" Amelia cringes I laugh pulling away.

"Your turn" me and Shawn both say before kissing her cheek for a long time.

"Okayyyyy " she giggle and we pull away.

"I'll see you later princess , babe listen in for my radio session" he winks at me before grabbing a muffin and walking out the house .

"Come on Amelia let's go see mama and papa " she squeals excitedly she really loves Shawn's parents.

My mother on the other hand .... let's just say unless your blood she doesn't approve. Sadly she's such a prissy little -

"Mommy let's goooooooooo" she screams pointing at the door. I snap out of it opening the door.
