Chapter 60:

This has gotten so far out of hand and I don't even know what to do with myself. "I feel like I'm going crazy" I sigh into my phone closing the balcony door .

"You need a break"

" I know but I don't want to leave the twins. Their father is not in the right state of mind and I don't want to leave them with Dylan he has a lot going on"

"How about you pack a bag for you and the kids and you come spend the week "

"I don't know isn't Theo still mad at me ?"

"Sam you're his sister he'll get over it just pack enough clothes for the week and meet me at the airport Tomorrow at noon I have a surprise planned for you"

I take a deep breath saying my goodbyes. I step into my bedroom closing the door for the balcony .

"Hey" Dylan smiles at me nose bandaged and lip busted but he's still hot.

" hey" I smile laying next to him

"Today has been a crazy day" I scoot closer to him resting my head on his chest.

"I know I'm sorry for fighting I just couldn't control myself Shawn just made me so angry I thought he would hurt you"

"I know it's okay you were trying to protect me"

"That's all I want to do" he pulls me closer to him

We sat in silence for a few minutes then I figured I'd just say it now.

"I'm going to visit my brother a mini escape  for a week"

"When are you going?"

"Tomorrow " I watch as he frowns

"Okay I think it's a good idea for you to take a break are you taking mel and Liam?"

"Yeah they can play with their cousin I don't see my brother as often as I should" I shrug

"Okay" he says in a sad tone

"What's wrong?" I ask sitting up questioning him

"Nothing" he shrugs getting up exiting the room

"Dylan I can tell when something is bothering you " I follow after him

"I'm okay really just going to miss you guys while I'm gone that's all"

"Aww Dylan " I laugh holding his hand

"We're going to miss you too I just need to clear my head .

His phone goes off  Holland's name lights up the screen . He looks at it before declining the call putting his phone in his pocket.

I raise my brow that's weird they're suppose to be best friends. "Is everything alright between you guys?"

"Yea were good besides I'm speaking to you that would be rude" he shrugs changing the subject "what do you want for dinner?"

"Hmmm I don't really know maybe-" his phone goes off again he declines it quickly.

"You should answer her " I insist Dylan looks panicked

"No it's probably just about work" the phone goes off again .

"It seems urgent Dyl maybe you should answer it" I reach for his phone n he pulls it away From me
I raise a brow at him .

"Sorry I just don't feel like talking about work" he smiles pulling me by my waist into his arms.

"Okay" I brush it off

"Good now what do you want to eat?"

"Steak?" I say unsure

"Steak it is" he kisses my forehead before taking the ingredients out of the fridge.

I can't help but notice notifications popping up on his phone screen from Holland. To my luck his messages are private so I can't read what they say.

"When are you going back on set" I ask curiously

"A few days maybe Thursday not sure yet why?" He ask heating up the pot

"No reason I just haven't seen the cast in a while maybe I should tag along" I shrug my shoulder "like old times"

He looks uneased I can't tell his reaction "okay that would be nice when you get back we could go"

"Okay great can't wait" I watch him as his tone changed to uncomfortable.

"Sam!!" Shayline greets me with a hug from the front door

"Hi Liam " she pulls him into a hug giving him a big kiss he turns red

"I'm surprised you actually came" she smirks grabbing my bag

I switch Melanie to my other hip as she sleeps on my shoulder.

"Me too but I need a break"

Shaline helps me get situated and the twins are both asleep.

"How are you?" She asks handing me a glass of wine

"I'm okay " I sigh staring off the patio

"Are you really?" She ask genuinely

"I don't know " I frown sipping my wine

"How are things with Dylan?" I sigh running my hands through my hair

"I feel like something is off " I take another sip

"How so ?" She leans in listening closely

"I don't know he is being weird about his job i don't know there's this girl on the cast that keeps calling him but he won't answer when I'm around. I thought it was just something for work but even before yesterday I've noticed her calling and texting"

"Did you address this with him ?"she refills our cups

"Yes but he just brushed it off I told him I wanted to come on set with him when I get back "

"And.. what did he say?" She asked eagerly

"He said okay but he was very uncomfortable about it and I don't know maybe I'm over reacting " I sigh resting my cup down

"I You have to be realistic with yourself Do you think he'd ever cheat on you?" She asked leaning back in her chair.

"I never took him as the type but I didn't think I was the type either maybe he's doing this to get back at me or maybe I'm overthinking the whole thing".

"Aunty Sammy!" My precious niece runs into my arms

"Hi princess you're getting so big" I tickle her before pulling her into a hug. Theo followed after .

Everything got quite and he told his daughter to head back inside.

"Why is she here?" He asked his wife annoyed

"I'm right here Theo" I roll my eyes

"I invited her and the kids this will be fun we don't see each other often"

"You need to start talking to me before inviting people over especially her" shaliene frowns

"Stop acting like I'm invisible you can say whatever you have to, to my face" I stand up to face him

"I don't want you here you're not the Samantha that I grew up with you've let these boys get into your head and your pants . I love my niece and nephew to death but I don't like who you've become. And until you can prove to me otherwise I want you out of my house." He walked away frustration in his face.

"Sam-" I cut her off

"I knew I shouldn't have come here " I wipe my tears before walking to the guest room.

I pack my bags again and stay at a hotel for the rest of our time here.

Shaliene came to visit and we spent time while the children played together. Despite my brother's feelings towards me I made the best out of my getaway.
