Chapter 32 - The Suggestion

August came and our movie is finally showing. Medyo nagka delay lang ng kaunti because of technical issues but all's well ends well. Nasakop namin over 300 cinemas nationwide.

Isang linggo na pagkatapos ipalabas ang Project: Forget Me Not and the digits are overwhelming. Sales have reached 150 million in five days! Just amazing. I can't explain that beautiful feeling, sobrang nakakalutang.

Hindi lang ako makapaniwala na ganun ka positive ang response sa amin ng fans. Coming from issue to another, akala ko ay magiging negative ang effect nun sa first movie namin ni Jan. Thankfully, it was the other way around.

Isa rin sa factor kung bakit mataas ang sales ng pelikula namin yung pagkakahango ng kwento sa best selling book ni Memory B. Padilla. A famous author. Based kasi ang movie sa libro niyang Remember Me This Way which she also based sa lovestory ng parents niya. Her mother had an early onset of Alzheimer's. I've read it twice and I cried each time.

I played the role of Hyacinth, Mory's mother and Jan as Aric. Sakto sa amin ang roles dahil parehas din kameng singers. They both belonged to a band kasi, that's how the story went.

Mag e-eight na pero wala pa din s Jan. My stomach growled. I impatiently checked on my phone for the time.

He called me earlier and told me na on the way na raw siya. Usapan kasi namin ma mag breakfast kame together at Johnston again. Takam na takam pa naman ako sa beef tapa.

"Boo, where are you na?" I sent him a text.

"Baby, sorry. Naipit na ako sa traffic eh. Sorry talaga." weekday kasi kaya ma traffic.

"Okay, what if mauna na ako sayo sa Johnston? I'll book a ride na lang." I replied to his text.

Hindi na siya nagreply instead he called me.

"Baby, huwag na. Sunduin na kita. Malapit na rin ako diyan." Jan said over the phone.

I sighed "Okay, dali na. Gutom na ako eh." reklamo ko sa kanya.

"Yes my love. Ayan na o, nakikita ko na yung building ng condo." he said in a chuckle.

"Baba mo na to. Don't use your phone while driving. I'll wait for you sa lobby Boo. I love you!" I said excitedly. Hindi ko na inantay ang sagot ni Jan. Agad ko ng ibinaba ang tawag para makaalis na rin.

I grabbed my sling bag and wore my shades before heading out.

Free day namin today and Jan said we'll go on a road trip. No definite destination, basta lang daw magkasama kame for the whole day. We will drive around the city maybe then find good places to eat and just chill. I liked the idea too kaya heto, first stop for the day...beef tapa!

Halos twenty minutes pa akong nag antay kay Jan sa lobby.

"Morning Baby love." he surprised me by kissing my cheek while I was reading some fashion magazine that I found on the table.

I was startled for a second then I returned his greeting with a pout. "Gutom na ako Boo."

He smiled and pinched my cheek "I know. Sorry again. Don't worry, tumawag na ako sa resto. I ordered in advance. It will be ready when we arrive."

"Really?" I beamed with excitement. Tumayo na agad para makaalis na kame

"Yes, ayaw naman kita gutumin noh." Jan said taking me to his arms.

"You had their number?"

"No. Kilala ko yung restaurant manager. Isa sa mga kalaro ni Kuya Hero pag nag babadminton siya. We were introduced siguro mga two months ago?" kwento niya sa akin.
