"Yun na yon?" Camilla gasped disappointingly after the movie ended.
Hindi niya naubos ang binili nilang popcorn.
Nasa mall siya ngayon kasama si Keira. Camilla spent her weekend with her bestfriend.
Birthday na nito kinabukasan kaya hindi muna siya umuwi ng Nueva Ecija.
"Eh ano pa nga ba? It's a poor production and incompetent casting. Ni wala ngang naka relate sa character ni Penelope eh and please let's just say it...she's not good in acting. Bakit ba nila pinipilit?" Keira added.
"You know, she's the management's favorite. Kahit nung hindi pa ako umalis. It was quite obvious na. Remember our last movie? Kahit wala yung role niya talagang iniba ang script just to fit her in."
"Yeah. Lahat kayo nag deliver siya lang yong hinde. Dapat pinag workshop muna nila bago nila isalang."
Hanggang sa pumasok sila sa isang restaurant to have dinner ay iyon pa din ang kanilang usapan.
"You know Ma'am Chloe, kapag may gusto siyang pasikatin talagang ginagawa niya ang lahat para paningayin ang isang artista." Camilla said, her mouth was full of potato wedges.
"That's not what I heard." bulong ni Keira.
"Huh?"
"Hindi ka ba kinukulit ni Chloe the Maleficent? Lagi ka kayang topic pag bumibisita ako sa office nila." banggit nito.
"Why?"
"Ang alam ko kasi last na movie na yan ni Penelope eh and hindi na siya bibigyan uli kasi sunod sunod na flop na." Keira explained.
"Ahh so mag hahanap uli sila ng ibang artist para mabawi yung losses?"
Keira nodded and rolled her eyes at the same time.
"Wala ka bang balak bumalik na?"
"Meron naman. Hindi lang muna sa ngayon."
"Camilla, you know you are one of the network's assets. If babalik ka, sure akong sayo lahat ng attention. It will be good for the company and malay mo matuon ang focus mo don and it will help you move on."
"I don't know Keira. I haven't thought about it yet." Camilla dismissed her.
"Ano ba kasi pinagkakaabalahan mo bukod sa pagmumukmok ha?"
"Hindi na ako nagmumukmok Keira. I'm trying to relax, I'm replenishing. Nageenjoy ako sa hobby ko ngayon." she says while slicing her steak.
"You mean photography?"
"Yeah and Real...he introduced me to kite flying. Sobrang saya pala magpalipad. Di ko kasi naranasan yung ganun nung bata ako—" Camilla excitedly told Keira.
"Wait. Who's Real?" she cuts her.
"Ahh...he's a friend." Camilla pauses. She looks at Keira who was still waiting for another answer. "He's Jan's recipient." she decided to tell her best friend.
"Your friends?" binitawan ni Keira ang ang steak knife at hinarap si Camilla. Ngayon lang nabanggit ni Camilla ang tungkol dito.
"Well, not friends friends like us. Pero kakilala, yeah..." she nods as she speaks.
"...and he's nice. Kanila kasi yung lot na pinagtatambayan ko."
"Hmm..." Keira clasped her hands on the table watching Camilla closely. She has this glint in her eyes that Camilla recognizes.
