Chapter 52 - The Pilot

Camilla just came back from Manila. Ilang linggo siyang nandoon to be with Jan's family.

They commemorated Jan's first year death anniversary. It was an eventful day. Ang daming fans na dumalo. Iba pa doon ang iilang dinner na kanilang in-organize for Jan.

Camilla attended every invitation with Bridgette and Jan's sisters.

Bago sila makaalis ng sementeryo ay naharangan si Camilla ng ilang reporters.

"Lila, kamusta ka na? Isang taon ng pumanaw si Jan Antonio. How are you coping?" one reporter asked.

"Uhm, ganon pa rin po. I still miss him. I still remember him. It's been a year but nothing really changed. I am thankful for my parents, for Jan's family. Yung mga kaibigan namin na hindi nagkulang sa pagmamahal at suporta sa akin. It was a tough year but I am surviving po." she answered. Mabilis naman siyang hinatak ng mga escorts papunta sa sasakyan.

"Ngayon ka na lang uli nagpakita sa publiko, ibig bang sabihin nito ay babalik ka na sa showbiz?" the reporters followed her.

"I haven't decided on that yet. Excuse po." matipid na sagot ni Camilla.

Ngunit sadyang may mga makululit pa din na hindi nakakaintindi.

"Lila, Lila...may kumakalat ngayong mga balita na you are already going out on dates. May lumabas na photos na kuha sa isang café last last month...totoo ba ito?" the female reporter showed Camilla her phone. It was a picture of her and Real outside the café.

Tumingin si Camilla kay Bridgette. Bridgette knows about it. She knows that it was Real, Jan's recipient.

Iyon ang araw na nakipagkita si Camilla kay Real.

"Ahm please, huwag ho sana natin gamitin ang panahong ito para mangintriga. Camilla is not dating anyone. Kilala ko ang lalakeng kasama niya. He's the recipient of my son's heart." narinig pa ni Camilla ang sagot ni Bridgette bago siya naipasok sa loob ng sasakyan.

Nandoon sa loob ng sasakyan ang mga kapatid ni Jan. Agad silang dumalo kay Camilla.

"They just won't give you a break Ate." Jesi said angrily looking outside their car.

"Hindi man lang nirespeto yung death anniv ni Kuya Jan." Jayne added.

"Hayaan niyo na. That's how they make a living." Camilla told the two.

"But it's not true Ate. You are not dating that guy di ba? You're my kuya's wife now. You can't date." Jesi said upfront.

Camilla was caught off guard by Jesi's words. Jayne looked at her apologetically. She seemed like she was about to say sorry for Jesi but she didn't.

"Of course Jesi. I love your Kuya, so much." Camilla hugged them both.

Two days before New Year, inimbitahan ni Monalisa ang mga Laurente para mag dinner sa bahay nila.

It was only Real who came. Carlo was having problem with his store and Helen has colds.

"So Real, Camilla says you were in the Air Force?"

"Yes po Mrs. Sequia. Pilot po ako ng FA-50. Mga fighter jets po yun ng Air Force."

"Hmmm...you know Jan could have been a pilot too. Pangarap niya rin yan eh." singit ni Enrico habang kumakain sila.

Ngumiti lang si Real bilang tugon. Enrico hasn't talked much. Si Monalisa lang ang panay tanong sa kanilang bisita.

"Wala ka bang girlfriend?" Monalisa asked.
