I can't believe it's our last shooting day today. Days came by so fast we didn't even notice. Spent seven weeks filming Last Goodbye and the last week of our shoot was covered in a little island off the coast of Nasugbu called The Fortune Island.
Tiring as it may seem, the view and the experience on that island was truly worth it and unforgettable. Definitely one for the books.
The entire cast and crew were cheering and clapping when Direk Dj finally yelled "It's a wrap!" after the take. We finished at 7AM.
We were all tired but happy.
"Thanks Direk!" I went and gave him a congratulatory hug. Sobrang gaan katrabaho ni Direk. I loved how he treated everyone, parang kabarkada lang.
"Solid Direk!" Jan followed behind me and gave our director a high five. Nagyakapan din sila pagkatapos.
"Salamat din. Guys, good job good job. Sorry ah hindi ko na kayo masasamahan for breakfast..." he said apologetically.
The rest of us sighed in disappointment but we understood him.
"Sorry talaga. I need to rush back to Manila. May scheduled check up ngayon si Misis eh. Bawi na lang ako sa susunod okay?" he told us.
"Okay po Direk. Pa hi na lang po ako kay Ate Kath." I said. He took his things and started to leave.
"Sure, sure Li...bisita na lang kayo minsan sa bahay. Kayo ni Jan." sabi pa niya sa amin. Jan was already beside me, his arms over my shoulder.
"Sige Direk. Ingat!" Jan making a salute sign.
"Kita tayo this weekend Jan. Jamming, alright?" pahabol niya kay Jan.
I shoot Jan a glance before asking
"May usapan kayo Boo?"
"Yeah, ano lang sa bahay lang nila Direk. Gusto mo sumama? Para mabisita mo na rin si Ate Kath." ngiti niya sa akin.
Well, that sounds like a good plan. I've been meaning to visit her din naman. Mas okay siguro if we go together.
"Sige, kailan yan? Weekend? Hmm...I'll check kung may wala na akong sched niyan."
"Wala Baby. We're free on Saturday." he answered. Papunta na rin kame sa kanya kanyang rooms to start packing so we could all head home.
"How did you know?"
"Of course. Inaalam ko schedule mo." he grinned and I gave him a suspicious look.
"Pwede mo na palang palitan si Ate Julie, Boo." I kidded.
I can quit showbiz and just be your personal assistant." sabi pa niya.
I laughed. Tumingin ako sa kanya but he wasn't laughing like I am.
"I was just kidding, Boo." I said afterwards.
He did not say a word. He just shrugged and smiled or at least tried.
"Hindi mo ba talaga gusto to?" I opened up with him as we continued to walk.
"What do you mean?"
Malapit na kame sa si-net up na tent when we decided to stay for a while. We spotted a hut that was facing the beach and walked towards there. Magaayos pa naman sila ng gamit kaya may time pa kameng mag usap muna dito.
Tinignan ko muna siya before I continued.
"Ito. Pag aartista? Palagi ko kasi naririnig sayo ang pag qquit eh. Are you not happy with what you're doing?" I asked him once more.
