Chapter 21- The Bridge

Friday na and half day lang ang work ko for today. Keira promised me that she'll come by my place and we'll have sleepover. We used to do this since we were younger. Keira is my first showbiz friend hanggang sa naging best friend ko na rin siya even outside showbiz.

Though we have our differences, nagkakasundo pa rin kame.

Mag mo-movie marathon daw kame and the usual girl talk.Well, I promised to update her about the real score between me and Jan. Alam kong yun ang magiging main topic namin mamaya. She can't even stop herself from asking pag naguusap kame sa phone. Comfortable naman ako to share with Keira, for one she's does not kiss and tell.

Hindi ko pa sinabi kay Keira ang about sa questionsa akin ni Jan. I haven't told anyone yet actually. I don't know, hindi ko rin kasi alam kung dapat ko ba talagang seryosohin.

I remembered how that awkward moment ended.

Hinintay ko siyang mag sabi ng "joke" saka tatawa pero hindi nangyari.

He stood there holding my hands and casually playing with my fingers na parang lagi kameng ganito. Napapatitig ako sa mga kamay namin.

When I looked up to Jan who was also looking at me, that's when I realized. "Oh, he's serious." isip ko.

"What did you say Jan?" I heard myself ask after few moments of being speechless.

"I said gusto kita. Gusto kita Camilla. I'm confessing." he said with too much blushing. I have never seen a guy blush, much more before me. Siguro iyong mga fans pag na me-meet ako but an actor who's considered as one of the hottest these days...I'm kind of flattered. Humaba ng mahagya ang buhok ko.

"Seryoso ka ba?" tumingin ako sa paligid. "Or is this kind of a prank?" I asked againlooking at him straight to his eyes. I was just checking if he's just doing this for fun. Pero mukhang hindi nga siya nagbibiro.

"Camilla ano ba? I'm not joking, hindi rin to prank. I'm not expecting for an answer right away either." Jan said in a small voice.

Binitawan niya ang mga kamay ko and reached for the back of his neck. He's being shy. "I just wanted you to know." he said afterwards.

Hindi ko alam kung nakatango ba ako sa kanya pagkatapos kasi biglang sumulpot yung isang staff para tawagin na ulit kame. "Lila, Jan...kayo na ulit."

Parehas kameng lumingon sa nagtawag sa amin tapos nagkatinginan. He smiled and I smiled too. That's how our conversation ended.

After that day, I guess normal naman ang lahat. I was the same, work was the same. We started shooting for the film, we became busy. I guess everything was ordinary besides Jan being more maalaga when we're on set.

Napapansin nga rin yon agad ng nga tao sa paligid namin.

One day, tinanong ako ni Ate Julie habang nasa loob kame ng van ko.
"Li, nanliligaw na ba sayo si Jan?" binigla niya ako sa tanong.

I turned to her looking surprised. "Ha?"

"Si Jan. Kung nililigawan ka ba?" she asked again." Madalas ka kasi asekasuhin. Sabay pa kayo nag la-lunch." tukso niya.

"Sabay sabay naman tayo nag lunch Ate eh. Ikaw talaga." palusot ko.

"Pero tinatabihan ka niya. Tyaka kahapon din di ba? Siya pa yung nag lagay ng food sa plate mo." hinuhuli ako ni Ate Julie. Panay naman ang iwas ko sa tingin niya.
