Chapter 64 - The Secret

Real's vital signs dropped upon reaching the hospital. He was almost dead.

"Ma'am, Sir...hanggang dito na lang po kayo. We'll take it from here." the nurse stopped them from entering the restricted area inside the emergency room.

"Nurse, can't I come with him? I just need to see him...please..." pakiusap ni Camilla.

"I'm sorry but we have hospital policiesMa'am. I assure you gagawin namin ang lahat to save him. We really have to go." the nurse rushed inside as well leaving Carlo and Camilla outside.

"But.." hindi pa rin siya nakinig at gustong pasukin ang loob ng silid.

"Camilla, makinig na lang tayo sa kanila. They know what they are doing." Carlo stopped her.

"I...I...I'm scared. He's going to make it right?" nanginginig ang buong katawan ni Camilla.

Pinaupo ni Carlo si Camilla sa may waiting area at agad na kinuhanan ng tubig,Maging siya ay sobrang ninenerbyos.

After sometime they heard that they transferred Real inside the operating room. The doctors told them briefly about Real's condition. It was a Traumatic Aortic Rupture. There was a tear in one of his arteries secondary to trauma that caused him his attack. The doctors said Real should undergo a complicated surgery to stop the artery from bursting.

"Will he live?" yun agad ang diretsong tanong ni Camilla sa mga doktor.

"I have to be quite honest with you. There's 80% chance that he'll not make it." the doctor said "Masyadong kumplikado ang operasyon na gagawin sa kanya..."

"If it's about the cost of the operation, huwag kayong mag alala. Gawin niyo po ang lahat to save him. I have the money. Kahit magkano pa yan, we are willing to pay. Just save him please!" Camilla begged.

"No Ms. Sequia. It's not the money. It's the risk of this operation. I cannot assure you that the patient will make it...I can't guarantee you he'll wake up. The least I can assure you is we will do everything to save him." it was brutally honest.

Camilla got upset "Don't say that...Oh my God, no!" she walked away crying. Ayaw na niyang marinig pa ang sasabihin ng doktor.

Naiwan si Carlo upang pakinggan ang payo ng doctor. "Mr. Laurente, I'm sorry. I know it's hard for you to think of what's the worst thing that could happen but as a doctor, I am only giving you my honest opinion  about your brother's case."

"I know Doc and I've heard those words before but he survived. Malakas ang pananalig ko. Real will survive this again. Please do your best for my brother."

"We will." the doctor pats Carlo's back before going back to the operating room.

Limang oras na ang nakakalipas ngunit hindi pa rin tapos ang operasyon. Pakiramdam nilang lahat ay araw na ang nag daan sa tagal ng kanilang pag aantay.

"Camilla, mas mabuti pa sigurong umuwi ka na muna." bulong ni Carlo sa kanya.

"Oo nga, I think you need to rest tyaka padami na ng padami ang press sa ospital Li. Hindi magtatagal hindi na rin kakayanin ng security nila na icontain mga yan." sabi ni Keira. Sumunod si Keira sa ospital kasama ang mga magulang ni Camilla.

"It's okay. I won't entertain them but I won't leave until the operation is finished." nanindigan si Camilla na manatili doon.

"Anak, I'll stay here. Babalitaan ko na lang kayo. It's late. Umuwi na kayo ng Mommy mo." sabi ni Enrico.

"No Daddy.I'm fine po. How could I rest if nasa ganitong sitwasyon si Real? This is my fault." agad niyang sagot.

"Anak, hindi mo kasalanan ang nangayri. It was Calvin who did that." sabi ng kanyang ina.
