Chapter 33 - The Meeting

Everything was happening too fast. Ilang buwan pa lang kameng steady ni Jan and yet he is already sure that he wants to marry me.

Well, I wasn't not sure of him. Maybe it's just happening way too fast than I imagined it would.

Imagine, everything happened within a year. Yung sa amin ni Calvin then biglang dumating si Jan, naging kame, then may nangyari na sa amin and then now he wants to settle down.

I did not accept it nor did I refuse it. I just simply told him that we have to think it through. Hindi naman biro ang pagpapakasal. It's a major life decision that we get to decide only once and that's it.

Nagets din naman ni Jan ang point ko and he somehow agreed that we take our time. Although he voiced out that he really ought to marry me sooner or later, sana sooner daw sabi niya.

"I'm sorry if feeling mo nagmamadali ako. I just want to have that sense of security na whatever happens to us, sa trabaho natin we'd know that at the end of the day we still belong to each other Baby." Jan told me as we headed to the cinemas to attend one of the four block screenings.

"I know Boo. Well, I did not say no naman eh." I tried telling him.

"Pero di ka din nag yes."

"Pagiisipan ko okay?" I finally said para lang magkaroon ng closure ang usapan namin about marriage.

"Okay." he answered after a little moment of silence.

The thanksgiving lunch earlier finished smoothly. Natanong man uli kame ng mga taga media pero mabuti na lang ay wala na yung tulad nung nagtanong sa akin kanina.

Naging maingay din ang balita na gagawa kame ng movie with Direk Daniel naman this time. It was announced during Ma'am Chloe's speech and just as Sir Ody said, she mentioned Penelope being part of the cast.

Aantayin lang namin si Direk makabalik mula sa honeymoon nila ni Ate Kath then mag pproceed na kame for storycon.

Jan and I were equally excited. Matagal ko na rin gustong makatrabaho si Direk Dj, ganun din si Jan. The two of them actually hang out. Magkasing hilig kasi sila pagdating sa music kaya siguro nagkakasundo.

Madalas din silang maikumpara. Marami kasing nagsasabi na kasing sikat ni Jan si Direk back in his days.Sikat pa rin naman sila hanggang ngayon, yun nga lang ay matagal na sila wala sa harap ng camera.

We were congratulated by our bosses who were present during the thanksgiving lunch.

Sir Ody approached us and gave us a tight hug. Ganun din si Ma'am Chloe after her speech. Habang binabati niya kame ay di ko matanggal sa isip ko ang sinabi ni Sir Ody kanina.

"Congratulations!" Ma'am Chloe greeted us.

Ngumiti si Jan saka pinanood ako sa magiging reaksyon ko.

"Thank you po Ma'am Chloe." I managed to smile.

She was eyeing on Jan then at me as if trying to tell me to get lost subtly.

Tumingin ako kay Jan and he kind of told me "Give us a minute." with his eyes.

Agad rin akong nagpaalam. Leaving the two of them alone.

"Jan, are you happy?" baling sa akin ni Ma'am Chloe when Camilla excused herself.

"Of course Ma'am Chloe. It's another blessing po for the two of us. Syempre masaya ako." sagot ko sa kanya. I was holding a glass of iced tea that was already half way empty.
