I was sitting on my make up chair and I kept on wondering "Ginayuma kaya ako ni Jan? May gayuma kaya yung beef tapa niya sa Boracay? Pero lahat naman kame naka kain nun ah?I don't understand this. Hindi ko naman siya gusto noon."
"All set." I heard Koi said after she finished with the final touches. Pinicture-an muna niya ako para ipost sa Instagram niya.
"Let's go?" sabi naman ni Ate Julie. Bitbit na niya yung flowers na galing kay Jan at ang iba ko pang gamit.
"Tara na, tara na." nauna si Ate Pure palabas ng hotel room. Mag 8PM na kasi. We need to be there by 9:30PM.
"Li, okay lang ba sayo na kay Jan ka sasabay?" she turned her head to ask me.
"Okay po." matipid kong sagot sa kanya. I was busy on my phone. Katext ko kasi si Keira. Pero hindi na siya sumasagot. May gusto pa sana akong tanungin sa kanya. Naghahanap lang ako ng buwelo kanina. Hindi ko kasi alam kung paano ba umpisahan.
"I am not forcing you Lila. Iba na ngayon. We both learned from our mistakes. Kung ayaw mo na sumama kay Jan at naiilang ka pa--" bigla nag explain sa akin si Ate Pure.
I know what she meant by what she said. I know that this time she is not forcing me with anything that I do not approve of unlike what happened to me and Calvin before. So I just smiled.
"No Ate, okay lang talaga. Tyaka magkakilala na rin naman kame ni Jan. Okay lang talaga na sa kanya ako sasabay." sabi ko na lang. I looked at her again and smiled briefly before boarding the elevator.
Hindi ako nagpapahalata na medyo tensyonado ako with Jan's presence.
When we reached the lobby, I saw Jan from a far, nakaupo siya sa mahabang couch na nakalagay malapit lang sa revolving door. He immediately stood up upon seeing me. Kasama niya rin pala sila Kuya Hero na tumayo na rin ng makita kame.
Napaisip ako kung planado niya ba to lahat? Mula sa dinner, flowers and now pag antay niya sa akin going to our last guesting. It crossed my mind that maybe it's also our managers idea tapos heto ako at kinikilig. I silently scolded myself not to jump into conclusions.
I don't want to overthink what is happening pero sa totoo lang kanina pa ako hindi makahinga. Yung mga gestures ni Jan ang nagpapa overwhelm sa akin. It felt so good that I become scared.
"Hero. Sumabay na kayo sa amin. Maluwag pa naman sa van." I heard Ate Pure. Kuya Hero agreed right away kaya naghiwalay na rin kame bago lumabas ng hotel. I can't help but think that my suspicions are true. May kumikirot sa akin pag naiisip kong tama ang hinala ko.
Nagkatinginan naman kame ni Jan and I noticed na nagbihis na rin pala siya. He's wearing all black na suit, medyo messy undone pa din yung hair niya and he's wearing black studs sa tenga. I, myself is also wearing a little black dress. Nag match yung mga suot namin. Very couple-ish. We'd look good in photos dahil parang matchy yung mga suot namin.
I smiled discreetly as possible. I wanted to dismiss the part of my brain that sends kilig in my whole system but I can't help it. Jan is so dashing standing in front of me.
"Ready?" he asked. He moved closer tapos nilahad niya yung braso niya so I can hold onto him as we walked to his car.
Pinara ng valet yung car ni Jan right in front of the entrance of the hotel then he moved away for a bit to open the door for me.
"Thanks." I smiled. Ngumiti lang din siya habang nakatingin sa akin.
I settled my self on the front seat, I placed the seatbelt before anything else. Pumasok na rin si Jan at nag seatbelt na rin.
