"Jason, slow down!" I exclaimed, rolling my eyes as Jason dragged me up the snowy hill to the top of the run. He didn't stop, the dopey smile on his face only growing as he finally paused at the top of the hill. Once we'd made it, Jason wasted no time in strapping on his snowboard, letting go of my hand long enough to allow me to strap mine down, as well.

"Last one down's on top tonight!" He exclaimed, shoving me down into the snow as he shot down the snowy slope. I growled, brushing the snow off my suit as I stood myself up. I then followed behind Jason, lowering myself onto the board to gain speed. It only took me a few moments to catch back up with him, and the two of us wove around each other as we made our way down the slick slope. Even though the two of us were competing, I couldn't help but laugh. It'd been a while since I'd had this much fun with Jason, and, even though I was freezing my toes off in zero-degree weather, I wouldn't have given this moment up for anything.

As the two of us finally made it to the bottom of the slope, the look of pure irritation that spread across Jason's face was victory in itself, if I hadn't already indulged in the fact that I had won. I let out a victorious whoop as I skidded to a stop at the bottom of the slope, my arms raised above my head in celebration. Jason slowly came to a stop at my side, his arms folded tightly over his chest as he glared at me.

"No fair," he muttered. "You cheated."

"Says the guy who shoved me down just to get a head start!" I exclaimed, scooping up a pile of snow and flinging it at him. He brushed it off his coat before leaning down to unstrap the snowboard from his feet, and he picked it up from the ground, turning and heading back to the base of the run without speaking a word.

"Jay?" I called after him, unstrapping my own snowboard and following after him. "Jay, wait up!" Again, he didn't respond, nor did he stop. I just continued to run after him until I caught up, falling into step beside him. "Jay, are you okay?"

Silence.

"Jay, come on," I muttered, lightly shoving his shoulder. "Don't be like that."

Again, nothing. He just continued to trudge through the snow toward the hill, and I followed behind like an obedient little puppy.

"Jay?" I stepped in front of him, stopping him in his tracks. "Jay, are you really that mad that I won?"

"Are you kidding?" He suddenly muttered, causing me to jump. "I couldn't be more proud of you, babe." I felt my eyes widen a bit with surprise as he leaned in and kissed me, letting out a sigh.

"Wait, then, why were you ignoring me?" I asked when he pulled away, wrapping an arm around his waist as the two of us turned and continued up the slope.

"I was thinking," he replied, throwing an arm around my shoulders and pulling me into his side.

"About what?"

"Well, I lost fair and square; I was thinking about the multitude of ways I could live up to my end of the deal," he purred in my ear, leaving a warm, lingering kiss in my frostbitten cheek. I just shook my head.

"You mean, the 'deal' you incoherently screamed at me before shooting off down the hill without me," I muttered, playfully nudging his arm.

"Yep, that's the one," Jason replied, grinning cheesily. "Now, come on. I'm freezing my ass off out here."

"But, we've only gone down the slope once -"

"O-Once is enough," Jason muttered, his teeth chattering lightly, and I couldn't help but chuckle as the two of us returned to the top of the slope and back to our lodge.

"Jay, you might wanna take it easy next time," I murmured as I stepped out of the shower, drying my hair with my towel. "I'm having a little trouble walking." Jason chuckled, looking back at me through the mirror as he brushed his teeth.

"Sorry, babe," he replied, spitting into the sink. "I got a little carried away."

"I'll say," I muttered, scoffing. "Do you know how hard it was to stand in the shower for that long?"

"Take me with you next time; I'll hold you up," Jason purred, grinning cheesily before shoving his toothbrush back in his mouth. I rolled my eyes, wrapping the towel around my body and stepping out of the bathroom into our bedroom.

"I hope it's not any time soon," I murmured, groaning as I headed over to my suitcase and picked out my pajamas. "I'm beat."

"Yeah, me, too," Jason replied as he followed me out of the bathroom, taking a seat on the edge of our bed. I pulled on my pjs and jumped into bed beside him, slipping under the covers. Jason chuckled as he did the same, throwing an arm around my waist. I snuggled into his side, my teeth chattering.

"Babe, you're freezing," he murmured, placing a kiss on my forehead. "Are you cold?" I nodded, letting out a sigh as I rested my head against his chest.

"Yeah," I mumbled. "I'm pretty sure my body is still shaking after that, but being cold sure as hell doesn't help." Jason chuckled.

"Well, then, we need to bundle you up," he replied, and before I could question what he was doing, he began wrapping every blanket in the room around me. The duvet, the comforter, the throw, even one of the clean bath towels - all were wrapped around my body so tightly that I couldn't even move.

"Jay!" I exclaimed as he pulled me into his lap. "What are you doing?"

"Are you warmer, now?" He asked, kissing me on the cheek.

"Well, yeah," I replied, chuckling, "but I look like a giant sushi roll!"

"An insanely hot, completely adorable sushi roll," Jason replied, laughing as I rolled my eyes.

"Whatever," I mumbled, snuggling down into the admittedly-warm covers. "Are you sure you're not cold, Jay?" He shook his head, resting his chin in the nape of my neck.

"I can feel your body heat," he whispered, kissing my jawline. "You're keeping me warm." I just rolled my eyes and leaned forward to kiss his forehead, snuggling into his chest as he held me close.
