77. We've Got Magic to Do(Season 6, episode 5)
A rare good episode in a pretty abysmal season, this episode sees Rory finally starting to come to her senses. She hosts a function for the DAR, which turns out to be a smash hit, and it's actually very fun to watch. Lorelai and Luke take a step forward in their relationship when Lorelai realized that Luke actually enjoys hanging out with her,even when their doing things he'd rather not do. And let's be honest. We all enjoyed watching Emily taking down Sheera Huntzburger. Paris finds out she's broke and becomes a waitress at Rory's event.
High points: Paris doing menial labor is very entertaining, and Rory's event is fun and quirky. Patty has a very interesting show, complete with super awkward Kirk. And Emily is hilarious with Sheera.
Low points: Richard finds out what Mitchum and his family did to Rory and freaks out, even though it's exactly what they did to Dean. Hypocritical much?
Best quote: "Now let's talk about your money. You were a two-bit gold-digger fresh off the bus from Hicksville when you met Mitchum at whatever bar you happened to stumble into. And what made Mitchum decide to chose you out of the pack of women he was bedding at the time I'll never know. But hats off to you for bagging him. He's still a playboy you know. Well of course you know! That would explain why your weight goes up and down thirty pounds every other month. But that's your cross to bear. These are ugly realities, no one needs to talk about them. Those kids are staying together for as long as they like. You won't stop them."- Emily
