2. Last Week Fights, This Week Tights (Season 4, Episode 21)

The end of season 4 is close to perfect in most respects. The opening of the Dragonfly and the blossoming of the Luke and Lorelai relationship makes for perfect TV. And while many would choose the season finale as a better episode, I'm opting for the set up episode. Liz and TJ's wedding has all the hilarity that we've come to expect with anything involving TJ. It also explores the complicated relationship between Luke and Jess even further. The scene with the deodorant is subtly perfect, and the episode leaves them on pleasant terms, showing how much Jess has grown and how he has come to appreciate Luke for all he has done for him. It's a truly important episode in that it sees nearly everyone making strides toward improving themselves.

High points: The dance, the very unorthodox renaissance wedding, Jess's character growth

Low Points: While T.J. is funny, he's better in small doses. This episode has just a bit too much of him.

Best quote: (After T.J. uses Luke's deodorant) "Allow me."- Jess
