6. Deep Fried Korean Thanksgiving (Season 3, Episode 9)
Most of the truly fabulous episodes of Gilmore Girls are the ones that flawlessly balance the sadness of life with the humor. This episode, though it doesn't advance the plot too much and doesn't deal with very many heavy topics, is hilarious and full of classic Gilmore antics. The world champion eaters manage four Thanksgiving dinners and we get to watch the Gilmore Girls interact with all our favorite Stars Hollow personalities as they experience one of America's most interesting, and most fattening, holidays. It's not the most serious of episodes, but it's hilarious and a true Gilmore classic.
High points: The adorable beginnings of the Dave and Lane relationship, crazy Stars Hollow antics, the ever-entertaining Mrs. Kim, Cat Kirk
Low points: The awkward beginnings of the Jess and Rory relationship, Lorelai overreacting about Rory applying to Yale, Rory being immature by not telling Lorelai that she applied to Yale
