50. The Party's Over (Season 5, episode 8)
Emily and Richard decide (together!) to throw a party. The problem is they only invited the Yale alumni with sons, obviously trying to set Rory up. Luke may not be good enough for Lorelai, but at least they can make sure Rory ends up with a stuck-up rich kid. Enter Logan. Rory has known him for a few episodes now, but they're just starting to get to know each other. He rescues her from the boredom of the party and then cheers her up after her breakup with Dean. Speaking of Dean, it's the end of their terrible relationship! And the way he ends it doesn't make any sense either. She walks out, and suddenly he realized he doesn't belong. Of course he doesn't belong! He's lost all his personality. Also, T.J. crashes Luke and Lorelai's date night.
High points: The end of Dean, and Logan is amazing!
Low points: Dean is an idiot, as he frequently is in the latter seasons.
Best quote: "Thank you for not being related to me."-Luke
