21. Women of Questionable Morals (Season 5, Episode 11)
This episode centers around an addition to the reenactment of the battle of Stars Hollow and features Kirk at the forefront. Any time Kirk is present, its sure to be entertaining. But the part of this episode that is the most telling is the relationship between Luke and Lorelai is what is truly remarkable about this episode. It shows how well Luke knows Lorelai, something that is forgotten in latter seasons. In this episode, he knows that Lorelai is not right even when she doesn't say so and works very hard to get her back "together" with snow. He knows what she needs, often when she doesn't know it herself or when she doesn't want to tell him. The relationship sort of falls apart throughout the remainder of the show, but for this brief moment, Luke is the insightful friend he was before their relationship began. If only they could keep that up for the rest of the show.
High points: Kirk, Luke's knowledge of Lorelai
Low points: Lorelai is a bit annoying when she gets angry at snow, and I don't know why she didn't tell Luke about Christopher.
