48. That'll Do, Pig (Season 4, episode 10)
Richard's mother arrives, causing Emily to leap into uber-stress mode. Francie, one of the most annoying characters in the show's history, causes plenty of conflict with Paris and Rory. I'm not really sure what her deal is, but she certainly needs to grow up a bit. After letting her go because she was clearly into Jess, Dean decides that he still wants to be friends with Rory, which is clearly just a way to get back into her good graces again and to get on Jess's nerves.
High points: The Stars Hollow carnival, Jess's interaction with Dean's sister, Emily finally finding a way to get the best of Richard's mother
Low points: Dean is super weird in this episode, especially with the creepy conversation he has with Jess in the dark abandoned school. Also, Francie is unbearable nearly every time she's on screen.
