-- Julliet Morrison--
Two months had gone by since I've heard from or seen Geovanni. I know my Dad has been in contact with him, but he wouldn't tell me anything. Which I expected of course, because Geovanni is like a son to him.
I took a deep breath as I pulled up to the building which housed Geo's condo.
After getting out of the car, I entered the building and headed for the stairs instead of the elevator, because I hadn't really thought this through as yet and was buying myself some time while trying to think of what I'd say once I saw him.
I was on the final stair and my heart began racing, my palms became clammy and my breathing became unstable.
I got to the door, stalling for a bit in front of it. Actually, it took me about five minutes before I finally decided on knocking.
Movement on the other side caused me to become even more anxious than I already was. The door opened just enough to reveal his tall, slim, tatted frame.
His eyes raked over me from head to toe before they focused on my face.
"Hey..." I trailed off.
"Sup?" He greeted in a monotone as he pushed his hands into his pockets.
"Could we talk?" I pleaded.
"Sure." He shrugged as he stepped outside and closed the door behind him. "Wassup?" He prompted me to say whatever it is that I needed to say.
"Geo, first of all, I wanna tell you that I'm sorry about what happened between us two months ago — "
"I already forgave you, Julliet." He cut me off. "Will that be all?" He asked, causing me to feel slightly embarrassed already.
"I miss you." I mumbled as I looked down at my feet.
"You have my number. You could call or message whenever." He replied nonchalantly.
"I wanna work things out, Geo. I've thought about it and —"
The door opened, causing me to pause and look beyond him, over his shoulder at the person standing in the doorway.
"Sorry to interrupt." She quickly apologized.
At this point, I felt extremely foolish. She was so beautiful. Her long, bleached-blonde curled accentuated the light complexion of her face. She had a perfect coca-cola bottle shape and seemed like such a pleasant girl.
Turning slightly, Geo gave his attention to her. "Babe, whenever you're finished here, I'll need you to run to the store for me." Her words were like stones against a glass wall to my heart.
"Sure." He tucked his lower lip as he ran his tongue across it. I could feel the jealousy bubbling in the pits of my stomach.
"Hi..." Her focus was now on me, so I'm guessing that she was awaiting an introduction.
"Uh, Thalia this is Julliet, my godsister, Janvier's daughter and Jules, this Thalia." Geo filled the awkward silence with the equally awkward introduction.
Just his godsister?
"Nice to meet you." Thalia genuinely smiled at me.
"Same." I awkwardly mumbled before she hurried back inside and closed the door behind herself.
I was frozen stupid in my spot as I stared up at Geovanni.
"Wow... ummm ok." I choked out. "I guess I'd just go then." I rambled.
I turned to leave, but the anger building up inside me didn't allow me to get far before I decided to turn back toward him. He was still standing there staring after me.
