I'm going to put up the next five chapters (including this one) as they were last published and I'll publish the edited version after 24 hours.
--Geovanni Parris--
I had a blunt held between my lips when Julliet walked into our bedroom. Elliott had brought me home from Janvier's because I was too upset to ride with Jules.
I guess she had taken Guilia to the guest room we had turned into her nursery this weekend while she was at her Grandparents'.
She refused to make eye contact with me as she moved around the room. I put the blunt out and waited until she finished changing her clothes.
She stepped out of the dress she wore, revealing just a thong underneath. I continued to watch as she pulled open one of my drawers and took one of my t-shirts out of it, then pulled it on. The lengthy fabric hit her mid-thigh.
She turned around and made eye contact with me.
"Come here." I mumbled as she finger combed her hair into a messy ponytail.
She sighed and walked over to me. I pulled her to stand between my legs and wrapped my arms around her waist. I pressed my chin to her stomach as I stared up at her.
"I'm sorry about what went down at your Pops' house." I apologized. "I shouldn't have gotten so upset." I went on.
"It's ok." She shrugged nonchalantly.
"No Jules, it's not. I don't like fighting with you." I admitted.
"Ok." She mumbled. "It's fine, really." She sighed. "We were both wrong to an extent." She played with her fingers.
Grabbing her wrists, I pulled her hands to her side.
"I love you." I professed.
"I love you too." She held my gaze.
"Gimme kiss." I instructed as I pulled her to sit on one of my legs. She pecked my lips, causing me to scrunch up my face at her. "What kinda shit was that?" I mugged her, making her laugh as she gave me a decent kiss.
"Happy?" She asked.
"Very." I confirmed. "You know, Jules, I love you a whole lot and naturally I want to marry you. I get offended when you act like you don't know how much I really adore you."
"Even when you call me a whore?" She playfully pouted, causing me to smack my lips.
"I'm sorry about all'at, Jules." I gave her a serious look. "I was upset at the time."
"They usually say that if you want the truth from someone get them drunk or upset." Her frown deepened.
"I was being an asshole ma'. Papa's sorry." She turned her lip up at me, causing the both of us to laugh.
"Don't ever do that again." She said seriously.
Chuckling, I nodded in agreement.
"I won't." I replied before kissing her deeply.
--Julliet Morrison--
I was seated at a café with Skylar as we waited on our orders.
"So, I'm going to just cut to the chase." I finally broke the awkward silence between us, gaining her attention.
She put her phone down and looked directly at me as she gave a slight head nod, promting me to go on.
"Sky, I feel like this friendship isn't going anywhere. It's becoming toxic for me and it has me second guessing alot of things that I really shouldn't be second guessing." I explained.
Her once relaxed features now boasted a glare as she cocked a brow and crossed her hands over her chest. I could already tell that this was going to be a very messy situation.
"I'm not just in a relationship with Geovanni anymore, we have a child together and my father adores him. We have life long ties to each other and I cannot allow you to keep speaking negativity into my relationship. I cannot afford to just walk away from him because of unnecessary insecurities. We have a child in the mix. I understand that you're upset about what transpired, but what Geo and I share isn't highschool, it's more than that. Though I have my own place, I practically live with him. And I am sorry that you had to receive the hurt from this situation. I truly am, but could you really blame me?"
"You're just a selfish bitch." She scoffed.
"That is possibly true, but before you got involved with Geovanni, I'm sure I told you that I had mixed feelings for him and I'm sure that he told you he was feeling someone else. You kinda put yourself in the spot to get hurt, Skylar. I could take the blame for sleeping with him while you were, but I am not going to carry the burden of your claim that I took him from you. He was never yours." I stated truthfully.
"You keep messing around on him." She rubbed in my face.
"It never had sex with anyone else. I stressed. "Besides, whatever happened with Alexis that night, I'm certain that you had something to do with it and I do not have further intentions of making mistakes like that anymore." I shrugged. "Him and I have spoken about it multiple times and we are getting over that hurdle together. Is there anything else you'd like to know about our relationship?" I questioned.
"Are you happy?" She questioned.
"Very." I stated confidently. "He's good to me. Something Alex never was."
"You think he's always going to be that way?" She asked.
"The only day Geovanni will make me unhappy without fixing it after, is the day he dies. If he dies before me."
"So this is a 'til death thing,?" She narrowed her eyes at me.
"No. It's an until eternity thing." I corrected.
"Whatever you say." She huffed.
--Janvier Morrison--
"Jan, I'm sure that the kids have made up by now. Stop stressing and trying to get involved." Lillet whined.
In all reality, nobody asked for her opinion. I mentally rolled my eyes at her.
"You don't understand why I'm so worried, Lillet." I tried to get her off of my back.
"You want Geo and Julliet to have a wonderful relationship and you want to be able to mentor and guide them. I get that, but I'm sure that they could figure some things out without your help all the time." She advised. "Allow them to grow together, Jan. Let them make their mistakes and learn from them as a couple."
"What if they hit a wall they can't get over, Lillet?"
"Have you witnessed those two together? Does it seem like splitting up for good is an option between them?"
"No." I sighed.
"Exactly. Just let them be, Jan."
