--Julliet Parris--

"Mommy, could I talk to you?" Guilia asked as I folded clothes in the laundry room.

"Sure baby." I responded. "What's up?"

"How did you know that you liked Daddy?" She asked, catching me off guard, making my eyes go wide.

Geo had gone to the gym for a bit, so I guess Lia thought that it would be best to speak to me when he's not around.

"Ummm..." I trailed off, cleaning my throat. "I got butterflies in my tummy everytime he was close by. Like for example, if I was sitting at the dining room table doing homework and he walked into the room, butterflies started fluttering around in my stomach, then my palms would get sweaty and it would become hard to concentrate." I explained.

"Did your knees go weak?" She blushed.

"Yes, they did and my heart would race." I continued.

"How did you know that he liked you back?" She asked.

"I didn't." I shrugged. "It took years and years for me to figure out that your father liked me back." I informed her.

"Well, how did you find out?" She asked.

"He got jealous." I blushed.

"Of what?" She questioned.

"Daddy was left in charge of me one time. You know, because he's Grandpa's Godchild and he was almost like my older brother. So, I had a boyfriend and I had snuck out to see him, but he broke up with me and when I was sneaking back in and your Dad caught me. He assumed that I went to see my boyfriend and he got jealous." I shrugged.

"So you didn't tell him that your boyfriend broke up with you?" She questioned.

"No, because I didn't think he'll care. That night was the first time that he ever showed me that side of himself."  I explained.

"Oh." She said.

"You really like that Vincent boy, don't you?" I asked.

"Yes." She blushed.

"Baby, it's ok to have a crush." I assured her. "I had a crush on your Dad since I was twelve and the first time he kissed me, I was eighteen." I admitted.

"You waited six years?" She questioned in amazement.

"Yup and it was all worth it."

"Is he everything you ever imagined?" She asked.

"At first, no." I sighed. "It was a struggle for me and your dad at first. We had issues. We fought alot." I explained.

"He had another girlfriend." She shrugged.

"You remember that?" I asked.

"Yeah. He was with Krystopher's mom." She shrugged. "I mean, that's how he had Krystopher right?" She asked. "Miss Krystal." She reminisced.

"Yup, that's her." I confirmed.

"Did it break your heart?"

"A little." I admitted.

"How did you know that he was going to be yours in the end?"

"I didn't." I shrugged.

"But you stayed." She added.

"Yeah, I did." I nodded.

"You love my Daddy alot." She shrugged. "He is very handsome though. At least you have taste." She laughed, making me do the same.

"You think your Dad is handsome?" I questioned.

"Because he is." She laughed. "Women check him out all the time." She shrugged. "Just like men check you out, but you guys never notice, because you already love each other." She smiled. "I want love like you and Daddy's someday."

"And when you find it, hold on to it. Ok?" I advised.

"Yes ma'am." She agreed.

"Good, now come help ya' Momma pack away these clothes."

I've been putting this off for days now.

I thought as I tore open the box with the at-home pregnancy test inside. Taking a deep breath, I tried to calm myself down.

I was nervous, because my last pregnancy was a failed one and I also wanted a little boy so badly.

I tried to imagine the best outcome, but I kept thinking of worst-case scenarios.

I groaned as I uncapped the stick and got prepared to pee on it.

God, please, let this turn out good.

--Geovanni Parris--

I came home to only Christmas lights on in the house. I guess that everyone else were asleep already.

No, I wasn't out doing anything I shouldn't be doing.

I was out buying gifts for the kids and  picking up something that I saw the other day which I knew that Julliet would love, but she was there and I couldn't get it then.

Feeling satisfied with myself, I sat at the table and thought of how happy my squad would be on Christmas morning.

I began humming Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire to myself as I got up and made my way over to the microwave, warming the food I knew was waiting for me, before taking it out and going back to the table, digging in.

I looked around my home and took in the ambiance which surrounded me. The smell of pine, the lingering scent of ginger cookies, the lights flashing in a jolly manner, the beautiful, magical touches of the woman who makes this house a home.

I couldn't imagine myself being married to anyone else in the world. The woman was a joy to have.

After eating my dinner, I did the dishes and made my way up to our room. Julliet was asleep in our bed with Genovia right beside her. Shaking my head at Genovia, I stripped out of my clothes and headed to the bathroom.

I got into the bed moments later and Genovia's eyes opened.

"Daddy?" She whispered.

"Yeah baby, it's me." I assured her.

"You weren't here earlier, but Mommy was crying." She said to me, making my eyes instantly travel toward Julliet. "Don't tell her I told you." She continued to whisper. "I don't think I was supposed to know and I don't think she wants you to know either." She shrugged.

"Ok baby, I won't." I said, kissing Gen a over her tiny face, though my eyes never left Julliet's sleeping face.

What the hell was she crying about? I pondered.

I hope she doesn't think that I was out being unfaithful.

I really do hope so.
